CMV Carpentry, kitchen Installer and flat pack specialist
I will quote for the whole job, but can work on a daily rate if requested. if a job takes less time then quoted I will brake it down to half days
I am a trained carpenter, I started of building camper vans and then moved to fitting and maintaining kitchens and showroom furniture for large Swedish retailer.
Here are some pictures of a few jobs for clients I've completed in the last few weeks.
New kitchen Inc splashback, replaced bath panels
(before and after pictures) and new boiler cupboard.
Due to a cancellation have some time available next week to do quotes.
Happy Easter Sunday to all who celebrate it!๐ฃ๐ฐ๐ฅ Whilst I have a few minutes I thought I would share what I've been up to lately. Changing the front of a built in wardrobe, building some strategicly placed shelves in alcove and lots of laminate flooring.
After a bit of a break working on my own project. I've started doing clients work again. Here are some pics of a recent job for some lovely clients.
Architrave: door frames, door stops and skirting๐. Ready to have a chat about your next project!
Here's a few jobs I have completed lately. Tbh, been keeping quiet on FB as fully booked.๐
Fingers crossed from next week I'll be working on a big project, fitting out a Dutch Barge!๐๐๐
Now it's going to take me some time, but I maybe available for a few little jobs before Christmas.
But I think it make sense to close my diary for at least two months.
If I get a moment I might post my progress on the๐ข
Newly installed kitchen. This was my first Wren kitchen, very happy with the finish. Pretty sure my lovely clients felt the same.
Gosh, you can't beat "real wood".
Today completed a project of a solid oak step. My mate Jodieโs Tiling Services tiled the stone floor but her client was looking for a quality finish for step between tiles and Carpet.
After discussion and ordering the step from Tofields, I installed it today.
Now I don't mean to blow my own trumpet. But was pretty proud that the plugs (wood inserts to cover screws) are almost invisible!
As the wood cost more than my labour I took care measuring it several tilmes before cutting and scribbing it on one side.
๐ค real wood๐
Small jobs: love them! Always love giving my client that thrill of a rapid change or a daunting DIY (looked easier on Youtube) job sorted out.
I always imagine I can fit two jobs in a day.
But scheduling never works like that.๐ค
Here's a few mini jobs I've done lately.
Hello Everyone on this gorgeous sunny day.โ๏ธ
Still trying to find the balance between beavering away at jobs and promoting the business.๐ค
So want to reassure you, I'm still up and running although you may not see me on FB as often.๐
Thought I'd share a recent job, I got the chance to install a IKEA kitchen in a narrowboat.
Loved meeting and spending time on a fellow boaters boat.๐ฆ
So I've been a bit quiet on "the Olde" FB recently. Been quite busy with quotes that mostly have turned into jobs. Now running at a few weeks ahead for jobs. Which is quite reassuring.
But thought I'd let you know what I've been up to...quรฉ mini photo montage.๐
Catching up posting jobs. Replaced a bath panel on a curve bath for a lovely family, whom one member was my colleague at IKEA last week.
Photos include curved profile, before and finish job.
As I'm bit quiet at the moment, thought I'd share three old job I didn't get around to posting at the time.
First is the base for a window seat, second was some water pipes boxing in and the third was beading around a tong n grove celling.
Hopefully this may inspire someone to start a new project and message me.๐
It's not just part of my company name......
I am a qualified Carpenters and Joiner! I went to Moulton college as an adult (originally trained as a florist: I'm Dutch, later in IT), way over 10 years ago now. I completed my courses 2 months before the rest of my fellow students๐. Then spent time since in a joinery workshop๐ชต, camper van conversion company ๐ and working for a major flat pack company working on Kitchens ๐ธ๐ช.
So although I can do lots of stuff. I'm pretty handyโ.
My real speciality is Carpentry!
Stairways, Doors: frames, lining etc, skirting, wood and laminate flooring: this takes more carpentry skills than you can imagine. Not skills that you can get from YouTube (although it's handy for a recap occasionally)๐
.
If you have a project and would like a professional, I'm always happy to come give a quote, might rearrange your flowers whilst there if you ask nicely.๐
Job done: Feels great to make a lovely family's Christmas.
Flooring in kitchen/Hallway and downstairs toilet before Christmas. No tripping over floor lining with their Christmas dinners.
Functional kitchen door and lining for the New Year!
Yes, I did mention Christmas 4 times in this post, but it's only 349 days away.................too soon?
Happy New Year๐ธ๐๐
If you've got plans to reorganise and need a little help with your flat pack storage. As I used to work for major flat pack company๐ธ๐ช, I'm your man!
Happy to quote for all things flat pack, whether to build and/or secure to wall: from wardrobes, bookshelves, entertainment centre to kitchens.
Btw: usually can underquote Task Rabbit๐
First CMV carpentry Christmas Do๐
โค๏ธ๐๐. Myself and the Mrs went to a local newly opened Thai Restaurant: Tuk Tuk Thai in Fenny Stratford.
Food was fantastic and we had a great night out, was thinking of coming back and photocopying our bottoms (if you get the reference) to make the experience a bit more authentic (meal did officially go on expenses, let's see if accountant agrees๐
), but after lots of food and drink ended up falling asleep on the sofa!
Want to wish everyone who supported us this year a Very Merry Christmas/Yule or a fantastic Winter festival, however you like to celebrate this time of year.

Sandra, next year we'll take you for all the advertising you do for us.โค๏ธ
Hope I'm not on the naughty list๐
.
I've not been keeping up with posting my jobs completedโ๏ธ So here a job from the other day: boxing in pipes for a lovely lady and her canine friend before Christmas. โฅ๏ธ๐๐ท๐
๐
Done lots of quotes recently and taken bookings for the New Year, but actually have spaces in my calendar over the next two weeks....... So wondering if someone wants something done BEFORE CHRISTMAS!!๐๐
Completed jobโ๏ธ
Another stair way completely altered. Client wanted some spindles back in her stairs, needed to add rails, equally distribute spindles and make sure they are๐ฏ horizontal (harder than your imagine). Perks of the job, freshly made pastry from this lovely client.
It was delicious ๐
Before pic right at the end.
Utility room upgrade ๐ฏ. Boxed in boiler, kitchen cupboards for storage, work top for friendly cool๐ family in Wolverton. Looks fantastic with chequed terracotta tiles (already there).๐๐
Before and After, refurbished bathroom hand basin unit. The unit had had it's day and the pipes were a bit of an eyesore๐ฑ. Boxed in pipes, new sides, new door and sealed everything in matching grey.๐๐
Boxing today๐ฅ๐ as in boxing in a boiler, listening to Belgium radio. Love my job, doing something different every day for fantastic clients. Bathroom basin unit refurb next.......watch this space.
Another happy clientโ๏ธ
Utility room wasn't working, so added some kitchen units, moved the butler's sink (which was very heavy๐
) and fitted a work top. Now it's great space for storage, sorting washing and bathing the dogs( which was actually priority number one).๐๐
Today completed a fitting of some real wood shelves for a lovely customer in a Victorian terrace house. Always a little apprehensive with Victorian plaster and bricks, so took several alternative fixing techniques, but it was fairly straight forward.๐ Finished with a dark stain and wax.
Because it's weekend I swapped my skill of carpentry for plumbing (not a qualified plumber!),our shower mixer tap wasn't producing any hot water๐ก๏ธ๐ง๐๐
I knew the problem wasn't the boiler as have hot water elsewhere, so thought, I'd give it and go and see if I can fix it. Once I'd taken it apart all it needed was a clean up and hey, presto, we have hot water again.๐
Feeling like a super hero, the wife was suitably impressed. My first name isn't Clark for no reason๐๐ฆธ
Did something a bit new this week, a client of mine wanted to make his brick build shed into an insulated office. This meant battening out the walls adding, some multilayered foil and fibre insulation.๐ก๏ธ
And then I plasterboard over the top. Once the walls were done tong and grove on the ceiling and as this was sloping he asked it to be suspended so it was level. It was tricky at times but I did it and I think it looks fantastic.๐
Pictures: beforehand, the insulation, battening, plasterboard done, ceiling done!
Aaaawww, having that warm fuzzy feeling knowing that my clients like my work.๐
Is it a duck? Is it a Henry? Is it an egg sandwich (if you know, you know)....No, it's my new beast..........to help clean up after myself (my wife said, there is a first for everything).
Yes, my wife did draw a face on it when I wasn't looking! ๐คฆโโ๏ธ
