The truth about alcohol How do you know when your relationship with alcohol is becoming an issue? Counsellor Mike explores the effects of alcohol on mental well-being.
Wonderful
A great and insightful read.
“I counted my years and found that I have less time to live from here on than I have lived up to now.
I feel like that child who won a packet of sweets: he ate the first with pleasure, but when he realized that there were few left, he began to enjoy them intensely.
I no longer have time for endless meetings where statutes, rules, procedures and internal regulations are discussed, knowing that nothing will be achieved.
I no longer have time to support the absurd people who, despite their chronological age, haven't grown up.
My time is too short: I want the essence, my soul is in a hurry. I don't have many sweets in the package anymore.
I want to live next to human people, very human, who know how to laugh at their mistakes and who are not inflated by their triumphs and who take on their responsibilities. Thus, human dignity is defended and we move towards truth and honesty
It is the essential that makes life worth living.
I want to surround myself with people who know how to touch hearts, people who have been taught by the hard blows of life to grow with gentle touches of the soul.
Yes, I'm in a hurry, I'm in a hurry to live with the intensity that only maturity can give.
I don't intend to waste any of the leftover sweets. I am sure they will be delicious, much more than what I have eaten so far.
My goal is to reach the end satisfied and at peace with my loved ones and my conscience. We have two lives and the second begins when you realize you only have one. "

LIve this poem
There’s a woman in my mirror
And she looks a lot like me,
Though there’s lines around her eyes,
And her hair is wild and free.
She is plumper than myself,
And she is definitely grey.
Did I miss the day this happened
Has she always been this way?
And this woman in the mirror
Has an air of something calm,
Like a tide that’s going out,
And a beach that’s soft and warm.
She has seen the world in colour,
She has learned to know the truth.
There’s a wisdom in her wrinkles,
There’s a knowledge brought from youth.
And she seems to move more freely,
As though released from earthly binds.
Is she made of something lighter?
Perhaps the weight she left behind.
Like the press of expectation,
And the need to yield and bend.
I like this woman in the mirror,
She’s fast becoming my best friend.

Uncover the impact of trauma What Happened to You?: Conversations on Trauma, Resilience, and Healing
How true
Could be very interesting and informative.
Check it out for yourself 😄
So True
We were not created to be perfect; we were created to be real. Real people make mistakes, take wrong turns and disappoint themselves and others even when they’re doing the best they can. But we were created to grow and learn and evolve. So with that in mind, we need to be lovingly gentle and forgiving with ourselves whenever we reflect upon the past. And then we need to turn out attention and energy into using what we’ve learned as we love the people in our lives and embrace the opportunities and challenges ahead with hope. ❤️ BeginWithYes.com
Interesting
Lovely 😊
I have been her
I have been she
I have been them
And now I’m me.
I have been out
And I’ve been in
I’ve felt defeat
I’ve known the win.
I have held joy
and shouldered grief
I’ve had my share
Of changed beliefs.
I have been hurt
and I’ve been high
I heard the answers
to what and to why.
I know the loss
and I know the gain
I know that we
all bleed the same.
I have been her
I have been she
I have been them
And now I’m me.

Trauma therapy training ‘Working with Trauma’ webinar series Webinar 1: ‘Working with trauma in a time of trauma’ How can we help survivors of trauma recover from trauma even in a time of collective trauma? That’s the focus of this first one-hour-long webinar, now available with instant and lifetime access. It is...
PERFECT IS NOT WHAT I SEE
When I see the perfect people,
perfect is no longer what I see...
I see pressure.
I see stress.
I see strict regimes and unforgiving schedules.
I see fear of failure.
I see hunger.
I see missed fun, empty plates
and lives too full with punishing conformity.
Most of all I see a very sad inner child,
who never imagined a life of living up,
to everyone else’s expectations.
When I see perfect people now,
I mostly hope that one day,
they will get to enjoy the freedom,
a life without containment can bring.
The joy of removing those shackles and letting go,
of what other people may think of us.
These days, I find my perfect in the real,
the flawed, the fearless and the raw.
For the people who can freely share,
that part of themselves with others,
have found something we all chase,
peace.

Individual Sessions | Purple Feather I offer a range of three guided individual sessions meditation, emotional clearing and energy healing sessions that I design to meet your needs.
This week, I’ll share with you the seven Hermetic principles of the Kybalion.
III THE PRINCIPLE OF VIBRATION
"Nothing rests; everything moves; everything vibrates." — The Kybalion.
This Principle embodies the truth that "everything is in motion"; "everything vibrates"; "nothing is at rest"; facts which Modern Science endorses, and which each new scientific discovery tends to verify. And yet this Hermetic Principle was enunciated thousands of years ago, by the Masters of Ancient Egypt.
This Principle explains that the differences between different manifestations of Matter, Energy, Mind, and even Spirit, result largely from varying rates of Vibration. From THE ALL, which is Pure Spirit, down to the grossest form of Matter, all is in vibration — the higher the vibration, the higher the position in the scale.
The vibration of Spirit is at such an infinite rate of intensity and rapidity that it is practically at rest — just as a rapidly moving wheel seems to be motionless. And at the other end of the scale, there are gross forms of matter whose vibrations are so low as to seem at rest.
Between these poles, there are millions upon millions of varying degrees of vibration. From corpuscle and electron, atom and molecule, to worlds and universes, everything is in vibratory motion. This is also true on the planes of energy and force (which are but varying degrees of vibration); and also on the mental planes (whose states depend upon vibrations); and even on to the spiritual planes.
This is lovely
YOU WON’T FIND MY WORTH IN THERE
Don’t define me by my size,
You won’t find my worth in there.
See no measure in my thighs,
Or the colour of my hair.
Don’t judge me on possessions,
Or the holidays I take.
Don’t wonder of my treasures,
Or the money I may make.
I’m a mixture of emotions,
All rolled into a form.
Full of life and love and laughter,
And memories so warm.
I’m all the lands I’ve wandered,
And the stories that I’ve read.
I’m all the thoughts that visit,
When I rest at last in bed.
I’m a complex mix of lessons,
Which I’ve learned along the way.
I’m an echo of my musings,
And the things I didn’t say.
I’m often fiercely happy,
And sometimes deeply sad.
I’m kind and deep and loving,
For that I’m truly glad.
So look at me and wonder,
Of all that’s deep inside.
Don’t just assume you know me,
And the stories my smile hides.
If you take the time to delve,
You will find out more each day.
But for now no need to judge me,
Till you’ve walked with me some way.
