It's #FridayFundraisers thank you time! We've got a couple of lovely ones today, showcasing the skills and thoughtfulness of our supporters! ๐Ÿ’œ The ladies of the Inner Wheel Chichester have been busy with their needles creating colourful toiletry bags, which they've filled with toiletries for women in need. ๐Ÿ’œ The awesome Falcons Class from Fordwater School have created activity bags for our client's children. They kindly filled these bags with bubbles, stickers, colouring pages and more. These can be given out to clientโ€™s children during their appts to keep them occupied, or they can be given to our mums to give to their children at home. The effort you all put in is amazing. Thank you so much ๐Ÿ’œ #LocalCharity #community

Affirmation flower 2(Facebook Video).mp4
๐ŸŒธ Carry a cheerleader in your pocket! This simple pocket affirmation flower means you have encouraging words with you to help with negative thoughts and difficult situations. When you need a bit of self-confidence, unfold a petal and focus on one message to give you a boost. How to make the Affirmation Flower: 1. Draw or print out a flower shape (Google "flower template" or "flower outline") 2. On each petal, write strong, positive statements and things you are grateful for 3. Fold the points of the petals in to the middle of the flower 4. Fold into a triangle - it's helpful to use a paperclip to keep the flower together 5. Slip into your pocket, bag or purse, ready to use when you feel a bit wobbly ๐Ÿ’œ #WellbeingWednesday #affirmations #empoweringwomen

๐Ÿฑ As you can tell from the video, we ๐Ÿ’œ cats here at My Sisters' House! They really are beloved members of our families. For women in an abusive relationship, pets can be another reason why they may feel they have to stay, and are often used as part of coersive control. Cats Protection run a free temporary cat-fostering service for people fleeing domestic abuse, keeping much-loved cats safe until the owner and their family are in a place of safety. We've helped several clients use the service - their cats were fostered while the women fled domestic abuse. ๐Ÿˆ #InternationalCatDay
