A beautiful exposition to all you lovers of the non dual path. It's my experience also, and the ending of search because the seeker IS what they look for is an aspect. As That became clear here, its started a much deeper rest/journey, as its an unfolding from a place of no search if that paradox makes sense. It provided the safety to meet the deeper emotional aspects, pains, layers, projections, and I'm so appreciative of Scotts pointers in somatic diving and seeing whats operational.

Leonard Cohen said his teacher once told him that the older you get the lonelier you become, and the deeper the love you need. This is because, as we go through life, we tend to over-identify with being the hero of our stories.
This hero isn’t exactly having fun: he’s getting kicked around, humiliated, and disgraced. But if we can let go of identifying with him, we can find our rightful place in the universe, and a love more satisfying than any we’ve ever known.
People constantly throw around the term 'Hero’s Journey' without having any idea what it really means. Everyone from CEOs to wellness-influencers thinks the Hero’s Journey means facing your fears, slaying a dragon, and gaining 25k followers on Instagram. But that’s not the real hero’s journey.
In the real hero’s journey, the dragon slays YOU. Much to your surprise, you couldn’t make that marriage work. Much to your surprise, you turned forty with no kids, no house, and no prospects. Much to your surprise, the world didn’t want the gifts you proudly offered it.
If you are foolish, this is where you will abort the journey and start another, and another, abusing your heart over and over for the brief illusion of winning.
But if you are wise, you will let yourself be shattered, and return to the village, humbled, but with a newfound sense that you don’t have to identify with the part of you that needs to win, needs to be recognized, needs to know. This is where your transcendent life begins.
So embrace humility in everything. Life isn’t out to get you, nor are your struggles your fault.
Every defeat is just an angel, tugging at your sleeve, telling you that you don’t have to keep banging your head against the wall.
Leave that striver there, trapped in his lonely ambitions. Just walk away, and life in its vastness will embrace you.
- Paul Weinfield

2 x New Yoga Classes Bournemouth
I’m opening two classes, Wednesday 6-8pm and Thursday (men’s group) 6-8pm for a new series of classes. Groups are 6-7 people.
It’s a closed group (the last cycle went on for about 7 years) and suitable for those wanting to explore life, peace, themSelves and the universe. (I use all those terms lightly)
I can’t really call the classes yoga these days. Sometimes we move and sometimes we don’t. We explore topics like meditation, thought, perception, yogic psychology, identity, shame, inner child, trauma, non-dual teachings, stillness, deep inner rest, conflicted narratives, shadow, inner protection systems, embodiment, and many aspects of humanity & inner orientation. It’s not a philosophy group. I’m preferring to learn from direct experience, truthfulness, and curiosity. When we do move, I love orientating to resonance, and have movement to support Self recognition and the body’s natural unwinding rather than fancy asana and the illusion of progression, the perfect shape and allure of levels.
These classes follow their own rhythm. I don’t work with manuals and laid out pre-determined schedules. There is a dynamic organic aliveness within the group that develops over time, that helps inform the exploration as well as the client’s own openness, interest, and subtleness. We explore just at the pace that we want to. It’s been my experience that as we gain deeper levels of trust and connection, we seem to have the confidence and capacity to dive deeper into things. This in my experience takes time, attention, and care.
I don’t ask that people sign up for a year or anything like that. Just month by month, and all are welcome to leave at any point. I hope that we settle into a steady group, as I find that supports depth. I’m not promising anything that you will get from our time together. Many have come away with much, and some love the absence of things that used to trouble them. We draw upon much I’ve had the good fortune to be able to explore and grow from.
I’ve has my roots in Yoga as well as Tibetan Buddhism with early influences of Roman Catholic. These days I don’t follow any tradition but love and honour the various teachings that have informed various aspects of myself, and greatful to the teachers that have helped and support me. I feel like I’ve benefited and then unstuck myself and from the paths of tradition, devotion, discipline, belief, and philosophy. Current interests are around the path of deconstruction, no effort meditation, and the art of integration from the perspective of inner rest. I’ve been a full-time yoga teacher for over 24 years now (not saying that’s worth anything)
If anything of what I’ve spoken of resonates with you and you’d like to come to class, then please message me. Classes are 2 hours / session and cost £15.
