Customer called as she wanted a second opinion. The garage that looked over her car advised it would need a lot of repair work and a new turbo costing in excess of £2,000.

I asked her to give me details of the cars issues. She advised the car had:
1 an oil leak
2 burning smell inside the car
3 lots of smoke coming from under the bonnet

The customer didn’t have the confidence to drive the car as it was, so I agreed to have an initial look at her home. I found multiple oil leaks around the turbo and the oil filter housing.

I provided her with an estimate for a replacement oil feed pipe to the turbo, down pipe from the turbo and replacement oil filter housing gaskets. The customer was happy with the estimate so booked in for the work to be done. I collected the car for her as I was aware she didn’t want to drive it as it was.

We undertook the work on the car and advised the customer of some other routine work she would need to factor in. The customer is very happy and very relieved that it cost a lot less than she was initially advised.

Customer was recommended by a family member as their BMW had multiple oil leaks and was not not running as smooth as usual. We checked over the car and found it was leaking from the rocker cover gasket and brake vacuum pump. We also discovered a broken breather pipe, broken intake pipe to the turbo and a coolant leak from the water pump. We replaced all the parts and gave the engine bay/ under tray a good clean. Carried out a road test and carried out a further inspection on the car. Customer asked for a service to be added on whilst in, which we were happy to facilitate. All running nice and smooth, no oil leaks ready for the customer to drive back to Wales.

This car came to us with a coolant leak which the customer was having to top up/ check before every journey. Their usual garage was unable to get them booked in any sooner then 8 week. We were recommended and when contacted we were able to make a plan with the aim on getting the car back sooner than expected.
We bought the car into the workshop topped up the coolant level pressurised the system and then checked over to find the source of the leak. We were able to obtain the genuine part the next working day. We fitted the new pipe, added some new coolant and bled the system to release any trapped air. Carried out a road test - contacted the customer to confirm the leak has been rectified. This was completed within 24hrs of receiving the part. Another happy customer!

This car was recovered to the garage as the customer was unable to select a gear so the car could not move. Bought the car into the workshop where we undertook a diagnostic test to check for fault codes stored. Then carried out further tests based on those results to establish the clutch system was faulty. To rectify the issues we replaced the clutch module and actuator. Then ran a clutch system reset followed by an extensive road test to ensure the adaptations had correctly aligned with the new parts. All faults rectified, another customer back on the road.

This car came in as the owner could smell fumes inside the car found the centre exhaust clamp had deteriorated allowing gases to leak out. Replaced with a new clamp re tested, leaking exhaust - fixed ✅ we then proceeded to check the engine bay. Removed the engine cover found the injector in cylinder 3 had carbon build up as a result of a leak. We removed the injector cleaned away the excess carbon added new seals. Run the car and took it out on a road test before the final and the all important sniff test - fixed ✅ another happy customer!

This Mini came in following a road side recovery due to the loud engine noise when it was running. I started the engine and carried out visual inspection, where I found that the timing chain guide was broken and blocking the oil feed pipe. So I proceeded to remove the old chain, guide and cleaned up the sump and oil feed pipe. Replaced the oil filter and oil. Took it on a road test and it’s now running as it should. One very happy customer !
