Fish and Chips

Due to circumstances beyond our control there will be no Fish and Chips this Friday.

It’s nearly Bistro time again :-)

This coming Friday we are doing one of our world specials, it’s Chinese night!

Friends of Chapel Street Cemetery are here at Eccleshill Mechanics Institute with their charity pop up shop till 8pm today. Who says late night shopping is just for December.....

Come and grab a bargain, from modern to vintage, clothing to pans.

Eccleshill Community Cafe will reopen at 3.30 selling a hot drink and cake for £2.50.

Massive thank you to our Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress for visiting our Fish and Chip Friday to meet our regulars and thank our small band of volunteers who work tirelessly to make this building what it is.

A great lunchtime with lots of clean plates.

What a brilliant night yesterday at the Mechanics, billed as a quiz night but was far from it, it was an evening of entertainment with everyone in the room involved in one way or another.

Massive massive thanks to Elaine (of Cinnamon fame) Belinda, Janette and Caroline who organised and made the event, brilliant work girls absolutely brilliant.

The evening raised £1,336 for the lift fund…… wow!!!!

Thanks also to Sharon, Tracy, Bradley I. The supporting role and Janis and Paul pulling the pumps.

A fantastic night - thank you to everyone who attended and supported the event, not forgetting all those who donated prizes used throughout the nigh - thank you.

Despite all the road signs suggesting the road past Eccleshill Mechanics Institute is closed we can assure you it isn't. A section of Norman Lane just past Morrisons is closed only.

Eccleshill Mechanics Institute is open as normal, especially tomorrow when it's our fab fish fry-day!
