Last few days I've been working for a great couple Dawn and Stan from the Bistro at Stogursey. I can't believe the work those guys have put into the place its lovely. If I'm honest I didn't want to leave, coffee all day and fed like a king. 😬😂 oh and they do the best toasted sandwich. Definitely will be going for food very soon. Highly recommend these guys.

Do you have ARTEX ceilings or walls??

The most common question I get asked when quoting work is?

Can you plaster over artex?

The short answer is yes!

BUT!!! There are always exceptions to this where you shouldn’t.

Now when looking at artex you need to know a few things, age of property, will it contain asbestos, what’s the artex covering, is there damage to the artex, is it flaking away, how thick is the pattern to cover ? the list goes on.

There are solutions to this you can overboard with plasterboard, you can simply prime and skim over, you can remove all the artex by pulling the ceiling down or in some case you may need to apply a bonding coat over to cover a thick pattern before a final coat.

Some really nice features in this beautiful old barn I'm currently doing.
