Got to love a good before and after - and this was a wonderful transformation to do - albeit a little scary up the ladder - a drop of all but 5 metres! Luckily the wall paper behaved itself and hung well!!

As most of you know - I do like an organised van! Been wanting to build myself new shelving for months - so that became my Christmas project 🔨🔧🪛🪚🗜️🧰

Really pleased with the result - all organised and ready to start back tomorrow 🧑‍🎨😍

Satisfying start to the week - a refresh of the master bedroom 💜

Window clean up job today! An ex tenant in this property had for some reason decided it was a good idea to stick Velcro strips to the PVC windows 😳 - which in time all went mouldy 🙄 - looking a lot better now though 😉💪👩‍🎨

First job of the week was a lounge and a bedroom - lots of prep work on these as the previous owner of the house had done all the painting himself - and clearly didn’t care about paint going on to the old traditional beams!!! 😳🙄

Last job of the week - a small porch for a lovely regular customer ♥️

Second job of the week - a bathroom that needed a lot of anti mould protection. Looking great now - nice and fresh - and treated to help prevent the mould from returning 👍

Fantastic day at the annual Painting and Decorating Show with Lorraine from - loads of freebies but also a really informative day

…. And to finish the week another kitchen / diner. A change of colour this time which is always a pleasure to do.
Carpentry skills used again to bead a corner so as to give a clean finish where there’s a wall colour change.
Very satisfying job at the end of a very satisfying week 👩‍🎨♥️

Second job of the week - a kitchen diner freshen up. My carpentry skills were again tested as some boxing needed repairs after the plumbers visit 🙄 and the mould took a bit of beating in the bay window.
All looking lovely and fresh now - just in need of the new curtains!

Colourful start to the week with two tone woodwork to a stairwell. Florentine red on the banisters and newel posts, and cream to the spindles etc…. Looking amazing now ♥️

Makeover of a different kind today - a cut and colour for me!
Way overdue as I hadn’t had a hair cut since March when my hairdresser went on maternity leave!!! Much neater and fab colours now - Thankyou to Louise at Hair Hub - loving my new look 🥰

Sunday morning sort out - I do love a nice and tidy van - all ready for next weeks trip to Exmoor 🦌🦌🦌

… and a cracking end to the week with a double stairwell, entrance hall and landing. Just the ceilings and walls for me - the customers are happy to do their own woodwork but didn’t want to go up the ladders to do the emulsion.

Just a little job finishing off Mums this evening

Just the one wall to deal with today in a stairwell.
Wallpaper stripped, beading fitted to wall corners to give a clean cut edge, and wall painted 🥰

Three years this customer had waited for her husband to decorate the hall stairs and landing - then I got a call!!!
The walls weren’t in the best condition as previous owners of the house had obviously stripped wall paper and made many indents in the plaster - so a skim was required to tidy them up. Now looking fab!

Lovely fresh look to this Hall Stairs and Landing - now on to the next !

And to complete the week - Daisy Decor diversified!!!
A little transformation job for the front of my mums - won’t deny that I am rather tired and achy this evening though - that was a hard days graft!!!
Just got to connect the chain up now between the posts and install handrails either side of the door - not bad for a days work though !!

2nd job of the week - a quick refresh to a lounge/kitchen/diner - the customer has a liking for candles so the ceiling definitely needed it, and she’s banned herself from having candles now as wants the ceiling to stay white!!!
And then the utility had a refresh too, the walls were Potters Pink already, so only one coat was needed on them, but the customer requested the ceiling go the same colour - so two coats to that one! What a fabulous colourful week I’m having!!!
