Celebrated Journalist, writer, broadcaster and songwriter - @colemoreton has interviewed some of the most famous people in the world - from the Archbishop of Canterbury to Tiger Woods. He has been awarded ‘Interviewer of the year’ at the British press Awards and also written for The Guardian, The Times and Financial Times, The Telegraph and Newsweek and served as Executive Editor of the Independent on Sunday. He has written award winning documentaries for Radio 4, and is a writer/presenter of ‘Thought for the day’ on radio 2. A note from @edwardsmusic our curator about our next @thecommonrooms_ event! On August 6th we’ll be presenting our next Common Rooms event at Brighton Unitarian Church. I’m very excited that my daughter Annie will be joining us to talk about her life and work as a dancer. She has also created a short film especially for the occasion. And we’ll have the wonderful Lou Beckerman, jazz singer, poet and music therapist. Lou is just about to release a new book of poetry entitled ‘Enter the Now’. Music will be from myself at the Steinway, James Osler on guitar, Rhys Lovell on Bass and special guest, the superbly creative Winston Clifford on percussion and we’ll be playing material from Keith Jarrett, Bill Frisell, Pat Metheny and much more. There’ll be a Q and A, lovely refreshments and general conviviality and human connection. This event will be ‘in the round’ and you’re invited to get up close to the action; listen, soak in beautiful gentle sounds - meditate, bring your yoga mat and lie down if you like.
