Lindt, one of the most famous chocolate companies in the world, is bringing out a range of vegan chocolate made from oat milk.⁣⁣

Out of all the companies releasing plant-based alternatives, chocolate companies have been among the slowest so far to catch up with the rise of plant-based eating. So to see such a large chocolate company bring out vegan products is a huge step forward and is another major sign of the changing times. ⁣⁣

It is shocking the amount of suffering that we cause to dairy cows, and the fact that this exploitation occurs for something like a piece of chocolate is disgraceful. It’s long overdue that these companies started releasing products that don’t involve the mass exploitation and slaughter of , so thankfully that change has started happening.⁣⁣

It’s even better that they are championing oat milk, as uses more than ten times as much land, twelves times as much water and produces over three times the amount of emissions as oat milk does.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
It’s fantastic to see the shift in consumer demands, and this is just one step of many moving forwards.
