I’m September I start a 10 week Yang to Yin Yoga course with

This yoga course is a balance of active “Yang” poses and passive “Yin” poses to achieve a sense of balance in the body and mind. It will include simple breathing exercises, mindfulness and a laying down relaxation to finish.
The yoga is suitable for all levels and everyone is welcome, poses can be adapted for every body.

It is a 4 day deep dive into Yin Yoga for teachers & those who simply want to learn more about this slow mindful practice.

I’ve been running this course since 2018 & draw inspiration from my teacher Norman Blair & other teachers I’ve studied with: Bernie Clarke, Paul Grilley & Sarah Power.

It’s like a 4 day yin retreat as I teach experientially so there’s a lot of Yin!

This Saturday I’m bring my Freedom Dance to Hove Methodist Church!

It is a sober DJ led dance. We will start of gently to a bit of funk and disco to warm up then build up to high energy house tunes. The night will end with a relaxing sound bath to rest well after all that dancing!!

The dance is not guided, you are free to move how ever you like!!

Sher Benjamin, , will be serving heart opening ceremonial cacao with love to start of the proceedings! (This is optional)💓

I had a lovely afternoon yesterday with my step daughter at Paint Pots in Brighton, where you pick your pottery & paint it. It was such a mindful relaxing afternoon I can’t recommend it enough. 💓

Tuesday 7.15-8.15pm

Have some time in nature, slowing down, switching off from all the craziness of life. It’s an opportunity to have some quiet time & reset for the rest of the week ahead 🙏

My intention for today is HOLIDAY ☀️ Being self employed has meant recently that I haven’t had much holiday, when I’m away I’m usually running retreats or training. I understand from speaking to others this can be a common pitfall of working for yourself. It’s so important to have time off, to give to yourself rather than others. To fill your cup. ☕️

So today I’m on holiday in Costa Del Worthing, even if just for today 🏝️☀️😊

The early bird rate for my Yin Yoga Level 1 course in September (19th to 22nd) runs out next week on 8th August.

The course will cover:

Planning and teaching a variety of Yin Flows

Understanding of the body’s fascia

How to lesson plan a Yin yoga class/ workshop

Learn the fundamental Yin postures, modifications and their contra-indications

Introduction to the Chinese meridian system

How to lesson plan a Yin yoga class focusing on different meridians

The use of props to maximize comfort and relaxation of muscles and fascia

Restorative poses, breathing, mindfulness and relaxation

Sher & I had a beautiful night last night sharing cacao & dancing with everyone 💓 each dance just seems to get better as Freedom Dance evolves. No more photos of the night I’m afraid, we purposely kept the dance phone free 🙏

As well has yoga teacher, healer, cacaoista & Goddess circle holder, Sher is also celebrant & we are looking forward to holding our first wedding next year where Sher runs the ceremony & I create the party 🥳 we also offer special birthday ceremonies too with Freedom Dance just for you & your loved ones.

Today is a blue moon as it’s the second full moon in Capricorn in a month.

It’s a moon to claim your power back, to stop giving it away to others & situations. We give our power away when we blame or justify. It’s time to take responsibility, to step into being even more YOU & really going for what you want in this crazy life.

After all the indulgence over Christmas come & join me for yoga, hiking, healthy food, a special New Years Eve celebration with ecstatic dance & a New Year’s Day sound bath. It’s going to be a wonderful start to the year!!

It was so hot today I took my bowls into the & we had a very chilled yoga session with a sound bath to finish 💓

If you know any one with MS I highly recommend checking out this centre in Southwick. There are so many classes, treatments & most importantly tea & cake 😊

On 3rd July I’m running an online Yin & Yoga Nidra session to raise money for charities working to support the people & animals suffering in Gaza.

It will be a restful evening to help prepare you for a good nights sleep.
