Ruined fort for Warhammer old world nearing completion. Considering adding a few self seeding small trees. Possible some spider webs. Bit of paint touch ups. Any suggestions?

Wife is away with the 10 month foam muncher so what an excellent time to get creative with some foam, tile adhesive and plaster skrim. Thanks to mother for joining and reliving those terrain building halcyon days of old, 90's please meet 2024

Bloodball Noble Blitzer

Basically done bloodball noble catcher. I'm feeling some black stripes necessary on the yellow socks. Also needs something on that plate on his breast.

First bit of painting for a while.

Did a day of tidying the painting area with a 3yo. Then did a bit of painting and some more painting.

New plastic models are excruciatingly detailed. It's almost stressful to paint!

I'm really trying to paint these a little faster than I usually do. Batch processing is key, as much as I hate it I am complying. Also applying the base coats in a logical order to avoid touchups...aaand creating a pallette beforehand

Also saw an old art project drawing from school today at my dad's house

95% done. Feedback welcome. Might touch up a little but otherwise done.

Helped mate Charlie do his first painting in 25 years. Totterdown Rotters will be ready for the cup! Guess who did which one. We worked on 'a plan' then explored bases, layers, shades contrasts and glazes 😁

It's been a while since I've done some painting the splurge of work to get the black orcs done was quite a lot. Today 3yo Nina did the base paints splashing contrast over white. I had to help by adding a little bit of detailing. Not sure what some of the chapters are. Got a half arsed Griffen, dark angle and unltramarine, but I am fearing a bit of heresy from the ones in the back, I'm sure they'll figure it out

3yo Daughter had her first opportunity to paint her first proper space marines.

Don't know which chapter we were going for even though we consulted the codex rogue trader era. Suggestions on a post card. Albeit it might be quite a few chapters lumped together in the end

We realised after we started we both had more specialists (4 max) than we should have.

Orcs kick off, picked up by the humies and thrown to the other side of the pitch and caught. An Orc Blitz's in, the troll is stupid and now there is a big wide open space to run the ball through 1:0 to the humies.

Second drive the ball lands behind the humies, the team runs forward and the thrower picks up, throws, and the catcher catches. Then the last move is a blitzer knocking the orc winger over.

The black orks start by activating the troll, unfortunately the greedy coach rushes the troll who falls over on a 1. There's another wide open space to run it through. Errors were made. 2:0 to the humies

Learning from the errors of the first two drives the orks kick off the pitch and the humies are gifted the ball. They repeat the second drive but this time the troll doesn't fall over and the battle is met. The humies catcher dodges like a mu**er and goes for it to the Ork touchline, the thrower chucks over the Ork scrimmage but the pass is interfered with by a gobbo and scattered into a spare square.

The orks manage to KO a blitzer into the crowd and then fumble a picked up ball as part of a blitz. And the 1st half is over.

Second half another day. 2:0 to the humies

Bloodball Monday restarts after a newborn baby got thrown into the ruck.

Mike Vs Owen, Khorny Bastards Vs The Waaaghburghs.

I'll spare the detailed game breakdown.

The squirrel got sicked over and spent the first half in the shower room.

There was a breakaway goblin who was too greedy, going for it he spilled the ball resulting in a messy scrappy back and forth mid field first half. No score but good play.

The second half a black orc decided he really wanted to open the game by stumbling over, resulting in a turnover and a heavy breakaway push by Khorne. We thought it was all over but miraculously the run got stopped by the one and only free goblin, who by a weight of odds sent the ball spinning, picked it up and chucked it the length of the pitch. Later another goblin picked it up and scored the one and only try of the game.

Khorne were really physical and really fast but struggled with frenzy overreaching positionally pushing and sometimes tripping. The black orcs seemed less effective but the grab and positioning was good, so physical but in different ways. The goblin stunty and dodge were really effective, lots of pushing but not that many pows

Also Owen cheated thinking his black orcs had strength 5, who knows what the impact of this would have been. As it was a warm up game, despite the 1v0 score we decided it was only 'fair' to call it a draw, and Owen was very sorry for his honest mistake, hence the reason for warm up games!!!

Another WIP Bloodball update.

Out of the batch processing stage, now I'm just picking up a model and doing whatever I like, mmm much more enjoyable.

Have batch processed bases and lines, eyes, gloves and metal.

Need to work on metal more, rust, highlight browns, more highlights, transfers, varnish
