We are delighted to announce that our Charity Golf Day on behalf of The Footprints Foundation was a tee-rific success, raising £4.5k!

Since 2022, our volunteer work with the charity has involved building vital infrastructure in South Africa like orphanages, churches, and medical centres. This year, thanks to generous donations from our enthusiastic participants, we are excited to be going back again to build an extension to a school, improving the learning environment for countless children in the future.

We are proud to announce Sophie Odgers as our newly appointed (MHFA) Mental Health First Aider in recognition of Samaritans Talk to Us month having recently passed. Currently, workers in construction are nearly four times more likely to take their own lives compared to other sectors. This is a part of the industry which Cosgrove & Drew are extremely concerned by, and which we are determined to tackle head on through company-wide mental health initiatives.

Sophie showed a real enthusiasm for helping people when she volunteered to go on the MHFA course back in 2020. Having received her training, she is now qualified to address and support any individuals within the business that may be struggling with loneliness, anxiety, bereavement, or depression. Cosgrove & Drew employees also have access to Medicash, a programme that provides free and confidential support services, including expert information, advice, emotional support, and even eight face to face counselling sessions.

Neil joined us at the end of 2016 as a project manager, and is now our Senior Technical Manager, helping clients secure compliant delivery of building services, and identifying necessary equipment upgrades to meet current regulatory standards. His availability and problem-solving attitude deliver the most impact for our clients. Neil comments "I most enjoy working with clients to find the best solution, and love project handover when the client gets to see their investment perform as intended! I also really value the ethos of Cosgrove & Drew, forever looking to improve our customer journey. A great environment to work with a strong drive to help and support colleagues!" Neil is instrumental in our client success stories and is such an asset to our team.

Hurrah! Our recent work rolling out our Skill Build employee development programme, has been shortlisted for a UK Company Culture Award. Supporting a student accommodation provider in the , our emergency call out service was used to repair a boiler on the coldest night of the year, to help keep students safe and warm.

We've got a Baxi UK R-Gen Combined Heat & Power (CHP) installation underway at a Devon Hospital to replace an oversized and inefficient CHP unit. This new plant will provide significant benefits for the hospital through energy recovery, offering up to 80% efficiency compared to conventional generation, helping to support carbon reduction programmes.

We were proud to sponsor a boxer in a local charity fundraising event in aid of Cancer Research UK. The team we sponsored raised £632. Well done team!

The close of 2022 saw our MD Zac Cosgrove present to delegates of QuoLux, talking about leadership and skills development within our business. He did a great job and we're really proud of him!
