The developers have had their way – an old way of living has been cleared away for Water City, a futuristic, secure development, where you can live and work and shop. Even the affordable housing is reassuringly expensive. But in the shadow of the shimmering glass and steel, some people feel like everything is being taken away.

Written by Matthew Dunster, Those Who Trespass explores the differences between two groups of people; the mistrust, the fear and the tragic collision when these two groups come together.

Those Who Trespass is performed by graduating Acting for Stage and Screen students of Bristol School of Acting.

Ahhh... our final production of the year looks set to be a nailed-on classic. One of the best and most important plays of the last 50 years, Angels in America, opens at the on Thursday:

One of the greatest plays of the twentieth century, Tony Kushner’s sweeping drama unfolds in Reagan’s embittered America, as its glorious protagonists wrestle with life, death, heaven and hell.

Plagued by the ghosts of his ancestors and abandoned by his lover, AIDS-infected Prior Walter is visited by angels… elsewhere, closeted political fixer Roy Cohn denies he has the virus and strives to preserve his reputation.

In this swirling hot pot of boisterous modern America, the nation’s reaction to the sickness – and its sufferers – is laid bare.

Angels in America Part One: Millennium Approaches premiered in May 1991 and has collected numerous awards since, including Best Play at the 1993 Tony Awards and the 1993 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. The National Theatre’s lauded 2017 production with Andrew Garfield, Nathan Lane and Denise Gough landed it further acclaim.

Bringing together wild movement, vivid storytelling and candid extracts from our diaries, elsinore is a radical reworking of Shakespeare’s timeless masterpiece.

What an incredible day. A brilliant way to showcase the premier of short films written and directed by some of the most exciting filmmakers in the South West. A huge shoutout to Matthew Humphreys, BSA’s Director of Acting Programmes and Course Leader for Acting for Screen.

The lovely has returned to BSA and squeezed in an industry chat with our Year 1 Acting Diploma students before heading off to the build at Glastonbury Festival 🎪

Michelle has an extensive and well respected career in the music, theatre and festival scene across the South West and beyond. As Creative Producer of , Michelle has kindly come to talk to our young performers about all things self employment, transferable skills, technical production arts, and life in the creative sector.
