When is the best time to come in for school shoes?
We get asked this question a lot at this time of year…
Shoe buying depends on your child’s growth and many children will have outgrown their current school shoes by July – especially if this is the pair purchased last August.
Most of our school shoe deliveries have already arrived (Geox, Bobux, Ricosta, Froddo) & we would advise a fitting by mid August to ensure the best choice of styles.
We keep a good range of stock all year round so don’t worry if you can’t make it until September.
When fitting school shoes, we always allow for maximum growing room, but without oversizing. Do bring your child in for a toe check if you’re unsure about their current school shoes.
We will be running our appointments system as usual, giving priority to those who have pre-booked… but we also welcome ‘drop-ins’ at any time.

SALES ASSISTANT VACANCY at ODDSOX

We are looking for a retail assistant to join our busy sales team in June.
You must have extensive retail experience, ideally with some knowledge of shoe-fitting.

The role is primarily serving customers, measuring feet & fitting shoes, so you need to be confident working with children of all ages.
This is a physically demanding role so resilience is essential.

This vacancy is a flexible part-time role to include some weekends & school holidays.

Due to the extensive training involved, we are looking for applicants who can offer a long-term commitment to this role.
