I implore everyone to please watch this video. This short video taken the other night at the Twilight Swim at Shoalstone pool says everything. It completely shows why we as a local community need to do everything we can to help save this pool. If you were born and raised here or even if you just visit on holiday, there's a decent chance this pool has a place in your heart and memory. For some of us we spent much of our childhoods here, for others it may just be a beautiful picture taken on a walk, or just the chance to swim in sea water without actually getting in the sea. Whatever the reason I doubt there are many who can argue the pool is not only a true attraction to Brixham and of huge benefit to many. What many don't know is that it is funded entirely by donations and grants, worked and maintained mainly by volunteers. The council should help pay for it but they don't. Which is why we here at The Blue Anchor decided to have a few fund raising events over the next few months, all in aid of helping the pool raise much needed funds for essential repair and maintenance. Also in the hope of raising awareness and getting the help of others, be it helping obtain sponsorship, grants or donations. Tomorrow myself and 3 brave others (brave for spending the day with me) are finally setting out on our sponsored walk to raise money for the pool. We start out at 11am and are walking around the beautiful Brixham, Sharkham and Berry Head coastline before descending on the town where we will try our very best to visit 21 pubs and bars with the aim of filling our donation buckets for the pool. It's just under 10 miles and we hope to meet our target of visiting each pub around the town. So we ask if you see us out and have some spare cash then please pop it in the buckets, if you're in the pubs, or shops as we pass then please help if you can. If you own a business in Brixham then this pool will in some way benefit your business positively so a little donation would be a gr
