Blazing Moon Shadow - LUNA

About Blazing Moon Shadow - also known as Luna - the British Spotted Pony, her New forest pony friend Cassie & Luna's baby sister Sparkle and their adventures with Emily :)
Luna - I am looking for a part/full loan to stay on our yard, but will consider full loan to move yards if staying local to Thanet / Whitstable and surrounding areas.
Luna is a 16 year old British Spotted Pony, she started late (ridden career started at 10) and is currently wasted as my daughter isn't riding. She is not the easiest pony to ride, she won't hack alone, but fine with another horse. She can throw tantrums and some shapes, but will try her heart out if she likes you.
Loves to jump / x-country. Will plod like a donkey in the school if you don't ask her any difficult questions, but I don't think she is a novice ride. She has been to lots of local shows, and we have jumped, cross country, done showing and even Concours with her, she has been to sponsored rides and the sunshine tour at Hickstead.
I love her to bits but she is currently wasted as a field ornament and she is bored and needs a job. I don't have time to ride 2 ponies. Luna will need to be brought back into work but she is easy to get fit. Currently lives out 24 x 7, if she moves yards she can be stabled overnight but will need turn out every day as she will get stiff. £40/20 per week full/part loan if she stays on our yard in St Nic. We do not have a school but have a dedicated riding area, great local hacking and the possibility to use a local school for a small cost.
Please contact me if you have any questions or want to know more.
Finally got around to buying some pics from the DeneHill hunter trial in June (oops) - Thanks as usual for the wonderful Quantum Photographic for the pictures of Em & Luna

Think they had a busy weekend 🤣🤣
Fab day out yesterday at Colette's Horse & Dog Shows . 3rd for EW Equine and Luna in a big 60 jumping class. Luna was a bit special in the 70 they got around with 4 faults for a circle but she cleared all the jumps - think she wanted to stay asleep 🤣🤣 then they came 2nd in junior rider. First showing class for over a year for them both .. fantastic day with Katie and stitch as always 💕❤️
Only bit of mud in the field and she sits in it .. ❤️ you Luna
Brilliant show today with Katie and stitch .. great riding from EW Equine , Luna was a star.
Em came 4th and Katie was 5th in the 60cm arena eventing. Em and Luna were 3rd in the 60cm show jumping and they won the 60cm pairs area eventing .. thanks Colette's Horse & Dog Shows for another brilliant day 🥰
Em rode Luna in the wind .. all good and ready for the East Kent ride on Sunday 🥰

WIN A COPY OF THE NEW AMBER'S PONY TALES GOALS & GRATITUDE JOURNAL!!
This competition has been won by Sharon Bellamy-James and Karly Muir. If you'd like to order one, please get in touch. They are £12 including UK postage.
Details:
The journal for pony riders who want to get set, ready and go.
This GG Journal is about getting yourself ready to be first out of the starting gate. It's about giving yourself a 'giddy up' to get to where you want to be.
Use this Goals & Gratitude Journal over a 12 month period to:
• Record your personal and pony goals and progress towards them.
• Note the things you're grateful for.
• Keep a log of the books you've read.
• Keep track of your pennies and things to save up for.
• Help yourself to remember key points learned from riding lessons, clinics, videos etc.
• Prioritise tasks each month to help you get organised and give you focus, but stop you from trying to do everything at once and getting stressed.
• Use the notes pages for anything you like!
The journal covers a year, but dates are blank so it doesn't have to follow the calendar year. It could be given to someone as a birthday present, or at the start of a new school year or Pony Club season. There are many places where a new year can start, other than 1st January! It's a perfect gift for any rider.
Dinner time .. Luna & Sparkle are an interesting colour
Em and sassy Cassie the wonder pony had a day out at willow farm at Colette's Horse & Dog Shows today .. had 4 faults in their first class but came 5th and 7th in horse & groom with 2 different runners and a respectable 6th in the 50cm which is big for Cassie and her dodgy vision. She was a star (but absolutely filthy as she decided to roll in the muddiest part of the field just before we caught her this morning) .. fantastic fun thanks to the team for a brilliant show as always 💖
Em had her first proper ride on sparkle today. She has been away on breaking livery. Can not be more pleased with her. She is going to be a cracking little pony
❗BE HORSE AWARE - Think twice before disposing of your pumpkin❗🎃
With Halloween over for another year you may be thinking of the best way to dispose of your pumpkin.
Although it may seem like a treat for horses, we urge members of the public to not dispose of their used pumpkins in local horse fields. What may appear to be a harmless act of kindness could in fact cause:
• Extreme stomach problems, which can lead to severe illness and possible
death.
• Risks the horse choking
• Fighting between horses, potentially causing injury
• Potential injury to yourself if bitten
To help prevent these incidents occurring the BHS urges members of the public NOT to feed horses.
📣PLEASE SHARE this post so we can reach more people and help protect the welfare of everyone’s horses📣.
