Nankhatai are shortbread biscuits popular in Pakistan and India.
Nankhatai is a delicious, light & crisp eggless cookies made with flour, ghee, cardamom powder and sugar.

I have pot of childhood memories associated with them as my grandfather used to give us one each daily as a treat in the evening, imagining those days how simple and beautiful they were😍.

Happy Independence Day to all the friends and family ,May we prosper more as a nation.
I think living away from my homeland has made me love Pakistan more and more. My dad made sure that we spend our summer vacations always in pakistan which has made our bond with our country special.The magnificent landscapes I had the chance to visit in northern areas are beautiful,scenic and mesmerising.
Hope to see our country prosper in all fields and become one of the best tourist destination💕

Namkeen Gosht(salted meat)

It is a very common and famous dish of Northern and Western areas of Pakistan. It requires few ingredients from start to finish.
I made for the first time and believe me it tasted so delicious & delightful.
I marinated the mixed lamb meat with salt accordingly which had little bit of fat on them.sprinkled a pinch of black pepper. First we later potatoes without peeling on the bottom than add the salted lamb meat on them with 5-6 green chillis and 6 garlic cloves. Do not add any water. Seal the edges of the lid with a Atta (flour) dough. Keep the utensils on the coals for two hours and place few coals on top of the lid . I had put foil to avoid it getting messy.
After two hours the meat melted in our mouths and aroma was amazing .
It was pure healthy meat with its own flavours .
Do give it a try and you will not be disappointed 💕

With all the Eid and meat festivities,I am craving for vegetables nowadays 😁.
Today I made this frozen bhindi (okra).i always had fresh ones made so was reluctant about the taste and texture of this frozen one ,luckily the brand was really good and it tasted just like fresh one.
I used a very simple recipe today, sauté an onion add the frozen bhindi fry in high heat add a tablespoon soya sauce, flakes of garlic,ginger sticks,chilli flakes,pinch of ajwain,pinch of zeera seeds,chicken stock cube , lots of green chillis,lemon juice and keep the lemon on the pot too along with tomatoes.cut an onion and keep on top put the vegetable on dum for 5mint.delicious bhindi is ready to be eaten with home made butter filled rotis.
I made youghurt salty lassi to beat the heat 😍

Today I made one of my favourite vegetable called Tinday and to my surprise I didn’t knw what’s it called in English 🙈😂.
After the google search it’s called Apple Gourd 😍.
Simple yet tasty it can be eaten with rice or chapati.
I marinated it with vinegar,lemon juice,red chilli flakes , ginger garlic powder and garam masala.
Fry them in little oil on high heat than add onion and tomatoes along with green chillis and put in dum for 10 mint,you can add little water too.
I already had mutton biryani from yesterday so had it with rice .
