18th century Manor House in the Staffordshire country side

We were asked to look at this project after numerous flooring companies walked away without pricing.

It’s an interesting project that required a fair amount of sub floor preparation. Below is a brief run down of the specification to make sure this floor would last the test of time in this historic property.

Levelled sand sub base
Installed DPM sheet
Installed a new unbonded sub base at 30-45mm with fibre sheet to make level.
Creating access for heating pipes
Once the UFH was installed by the electrical contractor, we installed a top coat to encapsulate the UFH system.
Created a 30mm pad for the new AGA cooker to be installed.
Installed 20mm engineered character grade planks
Finished with 2 coats of Rovers Havana hard wax oil

A very enjoyable and challenging project which resulted in this beautiful floor 😍
