I’m so excited to team up with Michele, an amazing and experienced sound practitioner, to bring you a day (10am-5pm) of pure relaxation, creativity and mindfulness.

We’ll start with a cuppa and a super chill papercutting class (perfect for beginners!) where you’ll make beautiful cards to take home. Then, we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch, followed by some lovely guided meditations in the afternoon, and end the day with a very relaxing extended sound bath where we’ll be soaking up the stunning countryside views from a spacious outdoor Tipi - Bliss! 🩷

I'm thrilled to announce that I'll be collaborating on a mindfulness retreat day on Saturday, 6th July! 🥰

✂️Join me for a 2-hour workshop where we’ll dive into the art of papercutting, create beautiful pieces to take home, and enjoy the calming effects of this wonderful craft.

I’ll be teaming up with Michele, an amazing sound practitioner who offers sound journeys and 1-2-1 sessions from her lovely home in Whitchurch, Bucks - which also happens to be the amazing location of the retreat.

The day will also include mindful meditations, an extended sound bath in a beautiful sound tent, a delicious lunch, and refreshments throughout the day.

So what is cyanotype?

You may have heard or seen this process before. Cyanotypes can be used to make photographic artwork, by covering paper or fabric in a light sensitive solution, then laying objects on out in the sunshine to let it develop.

It’s actually one of the oldest photographic printing processes first discovered back in the 1840’s. Traditionally this process was first used for reproducing technical drawings and architectural plans, and is characterised by its brilliant blue hue resulting from exposure to ultraviolet light. Soon it became an inexpensive and easier method, adopted by photographers as there’s no need for a dark room just sunlight!

Cyanotypes are usually made with natural botanicals - aquatic vegetation, plants and flowers are popular. However, on Sunday 9th June we’ll be hosting a workshop that combines papercutting and cyanotype together @‌where.Inspiration.Blooms

After the success of the session last year, as part of we will be running a collaborative cyanotype workshop again. We’ll be papercutting botanical inspired papercuts with me, then using them as stencils to make our very own cyanotype prints with Jules.

This is proving a really popular session so book early for a place!

Want to have a go at papercutting but unsure of where to start?

Download my papercutting card bundle for a go at making your own homemade cards. This pack of 4 templates can be printed at home on your own paper or card stock, then cut out and made into greetings cards (or framed if you like!) All you need is a craft knife, cutting mat and somewhere comfy to sit at a table. A brew and biccies too, obviously!

An ideal project for beginners, you can print the templates off as many times as you like!

I’ve included a birthday, get well soon, congratulations and Mother’s day designs to get you started. The also come with a set of instructions and a bonus practice sheet (incase this is your first time).

The coloured cards in the photo aren’t included (it’s just a suggestion for your finish cuts) but any A4 coloured card folded in half will work nicely.

Did you know...butterfly wings are actually clear – the colours and patterns we see are made by the reflection of the tiny scales covering them. 🦋🦋🦋

I thought I'd show you another template I've made for our butterfly papercutting session on Saturday 16th March. There's lots of different designs to choose from. Your finished paper butterfly will be framed and if time allows you can also make a selection of greetings cards too!

You can’t get it wrong!

Templates are just guidelines and no one will realise if you slip. As I use a lot of pattern work in my designs, it really doesn’t matter if you omit the parts that you feel are too challenging. They’re there just to give you an idea of where to cut. You can easily amend the designs, taking bits out or adding your own ideas to make them unique!

Come and learn how to make your very own papercut artwork, (and frame it too!) In this relaxed, fun workshop. We'll all be working from templates that are pre drawn by me, so no need for any artistic flair or drawing skills! 🤗

It was so nice to run another workshop at Vitreus Art Gallery on Friday. It felt very festive in the gallery surrounded by lots of beautiful lights and mince pies on the go!

It was a family tree paper cutting workshop - the perfect personalised present, and all the finished pieces looked fab, well done ladies!

I make allsorts of artwork for all kinds of celebrations and even commersial artwork. I do have a few things that I really enjoy getting my teeth into! Three things I love making:

Architectural paper cuts. Whether its your family home, wedding venue or favourite pub, I love cutting all the details on a building.

Family trees. After making these from the very start, I never get bored making these. each one is personal with up to 6 names of your choice, and now there's even an option to get your own template made and cut yours at home with the Family Tree kit

What a month!
