Well that was a productive day!
I apologise before hand....I forgot to set up and record the footage of me starting the carcases for the shelving and cupboard project...π
However made a start on them using marine plywood and pine wood for the shelves. Just waiting on a delivery for some more plywood... then it won't be long till I'm booking the customer in for fitting!
Nearly time to undercoat everything and and start on making the customer doors!
Quick update!
I have been run off my feet with work over that past few weeks and haven't had a chance to post on here. Alot of the work i have been doing I haven't really had the opportunity to stop and photograph it!
However I'm undertaken a big project building some cupboards and shelving units to fit either side of the chimney in a living room. No chipboard or mdf allowed...
I will have to double check with the customer that they are happy for me to show pictures of the work, however I'm going to try get some video footage of me doing to carpentry side of things and fitting them if all goes to plan!
If you have any projects you want doing. Please message the page or contact me 07469 232714 and we will see what we can sort!
Well that's a job completed! Will look wonderful once the lime has fully cured and started to weather in! Give it a wash down with white vinegar. The customer has asked me to come back and do some more!
Lovely cottage and fantastic clients β€οΈ
Been over in Hoddlesden today doing a job on a chimney. The customer has had some damp forming on the wall inside on the old chimney breast.
Once I got up on the roof I noticed that the pointing has seen better days and I noticed that the chimney at some point has been capped off and the chimney pot removed.
As a result of this the chimney inside was soaking from the condensation building up inside the chimney.
First job to tackle the failed pointing. Then move on to putting a pot back on and capping it off with a vent properly so the chimney should once again breath and have a constant airflow to dry out the chimney.
I have also advised the customer should look at getting the roof and flashing looked at as that as seen better days aswell!
So any if anyone knows any decent roofers... tag them in the comments so I can pass them onto the customer!
A busy week coming up!! With some exciting new projects! π₯΅
Below are some before and after photos of jobs that I have completed recently! π

New project for Tipsy Cows in Great Harwood. All new restaurant sign back boarding and flower beds infront of the restaurant! Standby for the finnished results! It's going to look fantastic!
Been working alongside Advanced Damp Proofing. A customer had some serious damp to the external wall and once that had been exposed and sorted we teamed up to tackle the failed pointing.
After raking out we found that the property had been patch pointed using cement pointing and after breaking though the cement the wall was soaking and the remaining lime mortar was more like a putty!
After removing the substantial moss and cement, we repointed the building using a Lime based mortar will allow the building to dry out naturally!
2 days of graft and some very sore arms... I've got to say... the wall looks so much better and I'll be revisiting the property in a few weeks to see how it's drying out!
Another happy customer π
Hey there, porch project update time! π§β¨
We've made some serious progress! The porch is now fully stripped down and securely tied into the building with a stainless steel wall tie system. We've also got the timber and insulation in place for the new warm flat roof. π π¨
We're eagerly awaiting the arrival of the facia and rubber roof so we can seal the deal and make the building watertight. Once that's done, we'll be moving on to fitting the glazing and getting everything ready for the exciting next steps. Think electrical work, screading the floor, plasterboarding, and all that good stuff! π οΈπ‘
Make sure you're following our page to stay in the loop and witness the transformation firsthand. Trust me, you won't want to miss it!

Wow, what a way to kick off the new year!

So, we're tackling a front porch that was built back in 2010 by the previous homeowner, but it seems like it wasn't up to scratch. π
ββοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ
It's just a single skin, flatroof porch, measuring about 4 meters by 1.5 meters. After some investigation, we discovered that it was only tied to the house with 2 bricks, no damp course, and the concrete slab lacks a damp proof membrane. And don't even get me started on the steel angle iron used for the lintels and not fixed into the house! No wonder the timber roof was pulling away from the wall plate! π
But hey, we have got a solid plan in place! ππ·ββοΈπ
Stripping the building down and starting from scratch sounds like the way to go. A new warm EPDM rubber roof and insulation will definitely make a huge difference. π·ββοΈπ§πͺ
