This year’s campaign aims to raise awareness among young people about the essential role of bees and other pollinators in agriculture, ecological balance, and biodiversity preservation.

🌟Daffodils🌟
Spring has sprung. Taking in the Daffodil Walk between Aberdour and Dalgety Bay today and it certainly lives up to its name at this time of year.
Looking for recommendations of your favourite spring time walks full of bluebells, snowdrops and daffodils!

🌟Bluebells🌟
Thank you for your suggestions! I have created two colour ways with my new bluebell pattern as I am intending to produce a pair of notebooks.
It’s been pouring with rain here and these little bluebells are a welcome reminder that Spring is coming! 💙

🌟Bluebells🌟
Managed to fit in a wee bit of sketching today, focusing on the curling petals of the Bluebells. The time is approaching, for bluebells to transform woodland floors into a delicate sea of blue.💙
Future pattern in the making…
What are your favourite signs of Spring?

🌟Swallows in Flight🌟
The Pantone colour of the year is Peach Fuzz
A light, delicate shade that sits between pink and orange. This soft, heartfelt hue expresses the desire to nurture kindness, compassion, and connection—all while fostering a deep coziness as we seek a peaceful future.
And it’s the perfect background for this Swallows print
Don’t you think? 🤔

🌟Robin Red Breast🌟
Can you believe it’s the first of February already? To celebrate here is my third little Robin Red Breast. Did you know, for each year that passes, a males red breast gets a little larger?
Emma 🐝
🌟Round Robin🌟
Look at this curious little guy! Still working away on my “Round of Robins”. In common with many other woodland birds, robins sport relatively short, rounded wings. This allows for rapid manoeuvrability in densely forested environments.
I would also like to wish you all a happy Burns Night! 🏴. We’ve just had our haggis, anyone else?

🌟Robins are not just for Christmas 🌟
Most Robins do not migrate they are simply more visible during winter as food is less readily available.
Did you know, the reason robins are used so frequently on Christmas cards is because during the Victorian era, when the tradition of sending Christmas cards began, postmen wore red jackets, earning them the nickname ‘robins’.
This lone Robin is a work in progress, my first of a group of Robins to create another piece based around collective nouns!

🌟Robin Red Breast🌟
We love spotting Robins when we are out and about and my oldest is particularly taken with the little Robin Red Breast ❤️I am never quick enough with camera to get a good shot of them!
Some quick pen sketches as research before starting a more detailed illustration later…

🌟Colour of the Year 2024🌟
“Peach Fuzz”– the newly crowned Pantone Colour of the Year, 2024. A velvety gentle peach whose all-embracing spirit enriches heart, mind, and body.
The colour combination below is reminiscent of some of the Scottish winter sunsets I’ve seen recently 🌅.
What do you make of Peach Fuzz?

Creating a brighter world
Emma Airnes is the creative talent behind BumBumBeeCreative (Bbbeecreative.com). I say, ‘creative talent’, knowing that Emma herself will be shy about ‘owning’ that description, but luckily, she has engaged the services of an Australian-based communications consultancy that’s not so shy about promoting her work. Oh, at this stage I should point out that comms consultancy also happens to be owned by her sister. The great thing about that is - I can share the real story behind BumBumBeeCreative. Siblings are great like that aren’t they?
Emma literally cut her teeth in a creative environment – probably on a paintbrush since our mother was also a gifted artist, as was her father before her, so Emma comes from a long line of creatives. We are so thrilled she is sharing that gift with others. The world certainly needs a splash of vibrant colour right now doesn’t it?
From poignant mementos, stylish, boutique wedding invites (coming soon), to vibrant nursery suite wall art, birth announcements, and individually crafted commissions Emma pours love and attention to the little details into each and every one of your pieces. In fact, you could say each creation is a celebration of the natural world, life and life’s milestones.
Emma Airnes graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design with a BDes (Hons) before taking up teaching in the Art & Design Department at a leading High School in Scotland.
After having her first child Emma turned her attentions to the nursery suite market. Being a designer herself, she wanted to create a vibrant nursery space that reflected Adam’s personality – while retaining all the magic, wonder and innocence of childhood. Adam was soon joined by his little sister, Rosie who is adding her own joyous, raucous, colourful dimension to life for all concerned.
