Love my new toy - was finding my chocolates were getting too cool resting on trays or even boxes on the stainless steel and shocking and blooming as I dipped them. Purchased a sneaky seedling heat pad to keep them at 18-20 degrees whilst I hand dip. Just look at the difference! Winter shine is back ❤️❤️❤️

Recreating the legend of the wolf. 🐺

Fantastic two days being taught by the incredible at York Academy how to bring the legend of the wolf to life through cocoa butter painting.

I’ve learned so much in the last two days and been privileged to spend them with extremely talented artists and chefs. Such inspiration for me at the start of the journey

The egg depicts a wolf howling, with the crown of St Edmund between his feet and the western gate of the great Abbey in the background. Legend has it that when St Edmund (former patron saint of England) refused to surrender to the Vikings and renounce his faith, they dragged him to the woods, shot him with hundreds of arrows and cut off his head. His supporters went looking for St Edmund in the woods and heard a wolf calling to them. They stumbled into the clearing to see the wolf guarding St Edmunds crowned head, untouched. The head was reunited with St Edmunds body and said to miraculously re-join, thus a first miracle. Saint Edmund was then interred at the Abbey, giving the town its modern name “Bury St Edmunds”. Follow for more stories through chocolate!

Day 2 - Cocoa Butter Painting.

First activity to make as many odd shapes as possible with a single tool. Then we cast the Easter egg moulds and look how shiny they are! Magpies 🥰

Rest of the day is painting our own design, I love our branding so went for the Bury St Edmunds scene - turns out it’s nearly impossible to paint….so watch this space to see how it turns out tomorrow. Hoping to be able to rescue it 🤣

Can’t believe I made this! 😲 Pinching myself still - I’m usually pretty clunky and clumsy 🤣

Huge thank you to .taystful for the fabulous tuition today showing us every step of how to make a chocolate sculpture with tips and tricks along the way. I was in my element with easy listening music and the chance to practise some creativity. Time just stops and goes fast all at once. Thanks to for hosting - blown away by the kitchen facilities and machines and a gorgeous lunch too - I’m hoping there’s more bread tomorrow. Haha.

Really looking forward to tomorrows 2-day cocoa butter painting course by . Feeling totally chilled.

Wishing all friends and guests at and a very happy Valentines.

We put all our love into these hand dipped truffles, and hope you enjoy a fabulous evening tasting them ❤️❤️❤️!

Shelf life testing today too. Oh the hardship!

I’m looking first to check for any signs of spoiling, then also for things that can affect taste or texture.

I make sure all my chocolates get a good coating and sealing and make sure there are no voids that could harbour any nasties. Reducing water content is key too!

This one was a marshmallow fluff and caramel ball. I need to work on my knife skills as I totally mashed it trying to cut it open 😂

Got back into the chocolate kitchen today to make some samples. This place makes me so happy 🥰

Over 4 years ago at this time of year the seed of an idea was born. We loved the ancient stories, history and folklore of where we live in East Anglia and were keen to finally start my dream of making chocolates to try to find some extra income.

It was around the Christmas tree in my old family home that we decided on the name for our company which we can finally reveal. 🌟

We wanted it to be unusual, but uniquely reflect the area where we live and the stories it can tell. We want to celebrate the local places we call home and the breadth of beauty in the landscapes across East Anglia.

What better way to celebrate this beautiful part of the Country than by naming it after the ancient family name of the kings that once ruled East Anglia, the “Wuffings” and where speculation has it that the very own St Edmund of Bury St Edmunds belonged. 🤴🏻Their reign covered the whole region and sets the scene for many stories to be told. Telling these stories is what we want to do, and if you can hear a story and chomp on chocolate, all the better!

Wuffings means “kin of the wolf” and the wolf is a symbol for the town, where John and I first met and were married in 2018. 🐺

We are so proud to introduce our company as we plan for the year ahead.

Its still the start of our journey but with continued hard work, we hope it won’t be long before you see our bars and chocolates available for purchase in some limited shops.

Thanks for the huge support, getting this far has been one of our proudest achievements. With one of us being a full time carer for their Mum who has dementia and the other working full time in a different job, and both of us suffering with Long Covid for a lot of 2021 I’m not sure how we’ve done it, but it just shows when the fire is in your heart, you can achieve more than you can imagine. 🔥

Have a wonderful holiday period and we look forward to sharing more with you in 2023.

In the meantime, we have some exciting plans for January to April which we will share here after Christmas.🎄

It’ll be your chance to be involved in shaping our Christmas offer for 2022 and be the first to taste it! 👅

Long Covid is a physical and mental🎢!!

My goal setting mindset is in the rubbish bin. I am searching out new ways to stay strong. For me this is looking back each month at what I achieved and where I came from. In truth, the last 5 months have taught me I have no idea what I can or can’t manage day to day so I can’t set goals. That’s a huge part of what makes me tick!

So rather than putting my happiness over the hill in the distance with my goal of being “normal”, I’m looking back at where I’ve come from.

The setback days still get me down (I want to get on with my chocolate dreams!) but I’m getting better at accepting this is a recovery like no other. It’s not linear. Yes I still say recovery because I truly believe (and need to) that I will be able to do what I dream of and have my chocolate business.

I won’t quit, I might just be a 🐢 for a bit! Slow and steady will win. 💪🏻💕🌟

Council confirms cancellation of Christmas Fayre - Suffolk Today 28/05/2021

Sad news for businesses in Bury and for us who love the Christmas Fayre, but the reasons are understandable.

Unfortunately we were hoping to launch with a little stand at the Fayre, but it looks like Christmas in the town we love will wait another year.

Watch this space for news of our inspection and our exciting reveal which should be soon! Just getting the i dotted and the t crossed! 🥳🤩

The chocolate kitchen is temporarily shut at the moment 🔒

But don’t worry there’s plenty of things going on behind the scenes, 👀.

One of them is mega exciting and we’ve been working on it for a couple of years now. 🌟🌟🌟 Hopefully we will find out in the next 1.5 months when we can make the big reveal! 💕💕

I still hope to sell chocolates this Christmas so watch this space 🎄

But it will mean kicking this Long Covid into touch sometime soon. Bring it on. 💪🏻💪🏻🥾💥

Friday Fun! 🌟

Promised you a cute surprise earlier in the week. 🥰

These little pigs are going to be part of our collection eventually and will celebrate our native rare breeds🐷🐷 including the famous East Anglian Large Black! Oink!

These guys are mud covered at the moment so you can’t see their colour 😉

Now what name to give them?....🤔🤔💕

Happy weekend folks! 🌟🌟

Controversial chocolate opinion alert 🚨 🤣. Colin and Cuthbert...

Where do you stand? Maybe I’m mean❓🥺

So I made a distinct chocolate character product and went to the effort and expense of trademarking it to protect it, how would I feel if I saw a almost identical looking one sold with a very similar name from a competitor❓

After I contacted them about it reminding them of my trademark, they respond by launching a social media campaign against me, making me to be the bad party?😞🥺

Then they decide to try to launch a charity version of my product, alongside all other competitors and ask if I’m in? It is for charity...surely you’re not that cold hearted to stop us selling it 😦😦 Money for charity not lawyers they say.

Hmmm 🤔 Interesting to see how this plays out when I think of where we want to take our little business!

Are trademarks worth paying for anymore? 🧐🧐🤔🤔

It’s reveal time! 👀🌟

M&S begins legal action against Aldi over Colin the Caterpillar cake 15/04/2021

Colin or Cuthbert? Lucky enough to eat both? Can you taste the difference?

I am a Colin fan girl myself - I could literally eat that face...😋

Did you know that KitKat failed to trademark their own 4 finger bar a few years back?

I wonder how Colin will get on...I’ll be watching this space.
