Dan brings with him a wealth of experience leading rugby teams at domestic and international level. His role will support a transformation in the way Circle approaches the development of it’s leaders, with Dan playing a pivotal role guiding, supporting and coaching leaders from hospital to board level.

The new role, the first of its kind for Circle Health Group, will focus on developing leaders at every level of the organisation. Aches and pains do not have to be a part of your daily life as you get older. Long waiting lists can be very off-putting, but we want to see you better as quickly as possible. Our waiting lists to see a consultant are just days not months and you could have surgery in just a matter of weeks if that is what you need. Why not gives us a call today or book online to see one of our Orthopaedic consultants, so you can get back to doing the things you love!

What our patients say is really important to us, and here are just a couple of those. If you are worried about anything we have a private GP service that can be booked online. You can be seen quickly and referred through to any of our consultants. Or perhaps you have already seen your doctors and are awaiting surgery. Why not ask if you can have your NHS procedure here at the St Edmunds under the 'Choose and Book' scheme? We have a number of specialities available through the scheme such as hips and knees, urology, hernias, gastroenterology and cataracts, with waiting times in some specialities as little as 2 weeks. #prioritiseyourhealth

What advice would you give to someone starting their career as an ODP?
In our third and final post for ODP day today we are focusing back on the theme of the day of 'inspiring the next generation'. As a healthcare organisation, we could not provide the high levels of patient care and attention that we do without our ODPs and taking care of our patients just would not be possible. We want young people to know how vitally important this role is and by choosing a career as an ODP, you would be part of something truly inspirational. 💙 So for our final video post today, we asked our ODPs to tell us their advice for the next generation on starting a career as an ODP. 👇

What is your favourite part of being an ODP?
Working as an ODP can be an incredibly varied job ⭐ You may not know what you will be getting involved with each day and being flexible is just one of the brilliant qualities our ODPs working at Circle Health Group have. To get a flavour of the different challenges and areas our ODPs work in, for our second appreciation post for ODP day, we asked ODPs from across our hospitals to tell us what their favourite part of the role involves. 👇

What is an Operating Department Practitioner (ODP)?
Today we celebrate Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) Day! 🎉 This year the theme is 'inspiring the next generation' and this is something we are keen to encourage at Circle Health Group. Our ODPs are very special to us. They take care of our patients with great skill, care and compassion, often when patients are at their most vulnerable. But not everyone knows exactly what ODPs do and how they help patients. For our first appreciation video today, we asked our ODPs to explain what their role involves in their own words. 👇
