Providing physiotherapy and rehabilitation for horses
I know I’m not the only one 😫
A really well written article by the wonderful Catherine Marshall Veterinary Physiotherapist and a must read for anyone wanting to learn more about hock arthritis in horses.

Just a few notes, bear with me ….
Thank you 🙏
Thanks to all of you for keeping me busy and constantly reminding me why I love this job. I’m not going to lie it’s been a tough old winter ☔️💩 and if I didn’t have such a great group of clients and friends I’d have probably taken an indoor job by now!!
Bookings 📔
I am a one man band juggling the bookings, accounts, reporting, telephone and the actual physio appointments. I do try to reply to messages as quickly as I can but struggle as some weeks I just struggle to find time to sit down with my diary. If I haven’t got back to you please send me a text on 07807069142 as I’m honestly not ignoring you on purpose I’ve just missed your message amidst the chaos. Text is always the best way to contact me!
Prices 💵
I’ve been debating whether to increase my prices as absolutely everything seems to have become more expensive. However I realise we’re all in the same boat and horses are expensive enough so they will be remaining the same.
Appointments are £55 reduced to £50 if there are 3 or more horses to be seen on the same yard.
Payments 🧾
I will still take BACS payments however these must be paid on the day of the appointment, checking and chasing payments takes up an incredible amount of my time and is honestly a nightmare and gives me a headache. Huge thanks to everyone that pays promptly it is appreciated.
Thanks again to all of you I really do love working with you and your horses. Now let’s look forward to some better weather and a successful summer 🐴🏆🥇🍀
I’m still on catch up after being poorly 🤒 I’m slowly getting through messages and will be finishing sorting my diary this morning. If anyone that needs an appointment hasn’t heard from me by this afternoon please send me a message. Thanks
Hi all,
I hope you are all well and enjoying this incredible weather despite the challenges the hard ground is bringing!
It has been an incredibly busy past few months and I’d like to thank you for you the continued trust you put in me to provide the best possible care for your horses!
I feel incredibly lucky to have such a fantastic client base that I genuinely love working with every day.
From July 1 physiotherapy prices will be set at
£55 per horse
£50 if 3 or more horses at the same yard
£30 for follow up within 14 days
For longer term regular rehabilitation input prices will need to be discussed on an individual basis!
Prices have remained static for several years and I hate to increase them but with costs of insurance, fuel and equipment all increasing my prices have to follow. I hope you will all understand and stay with me on the journey of improving your horses musculoskeletal health!
I also need to ask that all BACS payments be paid within 24hrs! I’ve always been quite relaxed so long as they’re paid within 7 days but with so many people now preferring to use online payments it’s just too difficult to keep track of if I don’t do it daily!
I hope you all understand and I look forward to seeing you and your horses soon xx
Maybe Daisy has been coming to work with me too much? We now have a Shetland doing walk poles around the garden wearing a theraband and weighted pastern wraps 🙈💪🏻😂
Another happier pony, that’s what this job is all about! I love getting messages like this 💕💕💕

It’s going to seem pretty quiet at work next week!
Apologies to everyone that has been trying to contact me this week. I’ve been really poorly 😷 I’m hoping to get back to you all over the weekend! If you’ve not heard from me by Monday please send me another message. Thanks
