We would like to say a massive thank you to all our staff working over the Christmas period. For some Christmas is a happy occasion, but for others it’s just another lonely day. I know many of you have gone out of your way to ensure everyone has had a good Christmas and for that I am truly grateful.

Everyday we go to work, do our job assisting customers to be independent. We know we are appreciated by our customers, they thank us on a daily basis. And then a gift arrives to the office in the picture below from one of our customers thanking us and wishing us a Merry Christmas. Many customers go out of their way to recognise care workers at Christmas and often give gifts as they become part of that persons wider family. No matter how many years I’ve done this job and how many Christmas’s I’ve worked. I will never take for granted how special a gift is from a customer. These flowers have made my day!

Ginger is a robotic cat created by Ageless Innovation LLC and donated to us by Caerphilly council
I had the pleasure of delivering Ginger to one of our very special customers living with dementia. Ginger went down a storm and will assist with deescalating anxiety and provide companionship.
Ginger purrs, lifts his paws, rolls over to tickle belly and many other cat related things which are all voice activated.
This has to be one of my favorite days to see the joy ginger has brought to the life of someone else.

£9.50-£10.30 per hour

You will work as part of a small team delivering care and support to a number of people in a local area. You do not need to have formal qualifications but if you have good interpersonal skills, a caring nature, practical skills and common sense then you are already well qualified to succeed in this role. We provide full training before you go out to work and initially you will work with an experienced member of the team to help you find your feet.

We offer flexible working patterns which we will agree with you before you start and wherever possible we offer fully paid shifts so you are paid from first to last call regardless of the number of calls on your shift.

For experienced Care Workers with a Social Care Wales Registration we offer a higher rate of pay and ongoing support to assist you to maintain your SCW registration.
