Hi, I’m Jemma👋 I am 16yrs old and I love animals and nature, photography allows me to have lasting memories of my own horses and I enjoy being able to share this with others. I have been doing photography since the end of 2019 and in four years I have dedicated a lot of time and passion into improving myself and learning the trade by taking part in courses and watching countless hours of youtube videos. At the start of 2022 I also attended one of Kelly Wilson's 3 day equine photography workshops which was absolutely amazing and taught me a lot.
Although I hope to have a profession in photography when I’m older, right now it’s just a hobby and therefore my prices are very affordable.
I charge $95 for a one hour session at your chosen location, which includes 20-30 high resolution and individually edited images. Editing and sorting is another 2-3hrs on top of the photoshoot so I would be working at a loss to charge any less. I am now able to travel all over Christchurch meaning I can come straight to you and there is no need to float your horse anywhere, allowing for a hassle free experience. I can also travel to photograph shows and events, so if you are in need of a photographer for an event you are running please get in touch, I am happy to help.

I am really pleased to now have a 16mm wide angle lens as part of my kit because I ❤️ wide angle photos! Here’s a few already. Due to an injury I haven’t been able to do photoshoots for almost 2 months now but I should be back up and running soon! I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and I wish you all a happy new year🤗

I am back from my unofficial break🙈 Lots has happened over the last few months including going to a photography workshop by Kelly Wilson (last 3 photos were taken at the workshop) which was super educational and I learned a lot about the best locations/lighting/angles and how to position horse and human during portrait shoots. I also had my photos published in a magazine for the very first time🎉 It’s a great read too about the 2night trek at Island hill station I went on at the end of last year, written by Sofia Hansrod🤩 I also bought a new horse which means I have another model to practice on, he has already seen the camera a few times😅 The next steps are to continue offering photoshoots (I am scouting out some new locations as well as the old ones) the sessions will be shorter and cheaper but include less photos, with the option to buy more at an extra cost. If you are considering getting a photoshoot then now is the time to do it because as I get more experience and build my portfolio, the price will only increase. And next year when I have my drivers license I will finally be able to offer photoshoots at a location of your choice!🙌
