Great to be at Charing CE Primary School this afternoon to bless this very special mural and share with you in worship.
Bishop Rose recently visited Borden Primary school; the Bishop was greeted by Fr Jane Barker, Assistant Curate at St Peter and Paul Borden, headteacher Georgie Ingram and the school's CEO David Whitehead.
Bishop Rose watched Miss Ingram and the children lead a worship service on the theme of hospitality and refugees and spoke to the children about the importance of hospitality and showing kindness and care when we talk and think about refugees.
The Bishop then spent time in Cherry class and Beech class taking part in a question and answer session. The children were keen to find out "what kind of world did Jesus want?" and " Why does Easter matter so much for Christians?"
The Bishop also shared school dinner alongside the children.
Fr Jane Barker said: 'Bishop Rose gave insightful and personal reflections allowing time for all the children to ask their questions. It was a memorable day. On behalf of everyone at the school I would like to say a " big thank you" to Bishop Rose for her kindness and generosity giving her time to come and meet us all.'
Such a privilege to be part of this wonderful occasion to celebrate and affirm women’s priestly ministry. Thank you to Estella Ruth Last for preaching and all those who took part or supported in anyway.

Wonderful to speak to students and staff at Bilborough College alongside the inspirational Richard Whitehead fresh from the London Marathon.
It was wonderful meeting pupils and staff at Blue Coat CofE School. I am extremely humbled by the honour and will continue to pray for the school and its community.
The message of Truth to Power has a particular resonance for Christians as we prepare to celebrate the Easter story. I was thrilled to be asked to speak on this theme as part of BBC Radio 4’s Lent Talk series. Listen in full here 👇

Who inspires Bishop Rose, Bishop of Dover, this International Women's Day?
"The women that inspire me are those who have faced adversity, acknowledged it but have not allowed themselves to be defined by it. They are not victims! They have overcome!
"The poet and activist Maya Angelou springs to mind immediately as well as the many women who were enslaved during the Transatlantic Slave Trade. They stood tall; they were not slaves. They were children of God."
