Many insurance providers offer additional benefits as part of their insurance offering.
For example, these benefits are worth over £700 per year and are included as standard with Aviva's DigiCare+ package, and this is not even all of the benefits!

We are used to the NHS being able to deal with whatever condition we present them with, and it does a marvelous job. However, outside of the UK there is pioneering research and innovation within the healthcare sector that is not available on the UK's NHS.
If treatment is available exclusively overseas, it is expensive – prohibitively so in many cases.
So, what would you do if more effective or lifesaving treatment for you or your children was only available outside the UK?
Would your finances stretch to the cost of travel, accommodation and the treatment itself?
Do you know that we have a provider that will cover the following treatments:
Cancer treatment
Coronary artery bypass surgery
Heart valve replacement or repair
Neurosurgery,
Live-donor organ transplant
Bone marrow transplants
anywhere in the world for just £3.00pm as an add on to any of their protection plans.

Why should joint policy holders consider a trust?
A trust is a good way to help you both decide now, who you want to benefit from the insurance money.
For example an unmarried couple’s extended family, may have differing views on who the beneficiaries should be, when a claim is made on a joint life policy.
For example, John Smith and Lisa Cole buy a joint life policy together for £150,000. When John dies, the money is paid to Lisa direct as it’s a joint policy and she is the survivor on the policy. However John had two children, Sam aged 9 and Luke aged 6 from his first marriage. John’s ex-wife is dead and the grandparents believe the money should have gone to help provide for his children’s future not Lisa’s, so take Lisa to court to fight for the money.
If the policy had been placed in a trust, it would have been outside of the estate with clear instructions as to who John wanted to receive the money, depending on both Lisa and John’s joint decision up front, helping to avoid any future issues.
