When I fall in love,it will be forever……. 🎼 🎼
Being with such a beautiful soul can help to unlock deep feelings. Being in a safe and nourishing environment will help you relax and loosen up. Be mindful and enjoy breathing ❤️🙏 🐴
October 2019 A adventure to India that didn’t go so well, I will never know how I got my Cancer but I would guess that the virus I picked up from a mosquito bite called dengue fever could be the culprit. It was the worst virus I have ever had, worse than meningitis 2012 & Covid 2021, 2022 ,2023 put together ! My beautiful friend also got bitten and really suffered for a very very long time! I was so scared for her recovery and at the time I felt quite guilty that I just got my own pony Clarence that was making me “ get up and show up” every day. Mentally I was recovering but physically my body started to suffer. 6 months later I got covid! Again it was so difficult but as soon as possible I was back at the yard with Clarence. Later that year I finally had a CT scan that showed I probably had lymphoma but the hospital ignored it.5 months later I insisted on a pet scan and biopsies as I was about to overdose on morphine with the pain I was in. Within 2 weeks the tests where done and confirmed that I was stage 3 and I would never go in remission with the kind of lymphoma I have now it was spread. I managed to keep Clarence for another year though treatment and I have to say he made parts of it magical! Having to give him up was so difficult. Now I am back to stage 3 but not as bad as diagnosis , well I wasn’t in January:-) I tried Art therapy for a year and it was great but my heart is with animals and outdoors. So this is my story up to now,I have a few extra tests coming up in the next few weeks and I hope to share how I get through them with some of my own equine therapy. How and what and of course Why! There always needs to be a Intention ❤️🐴I would also like to add,you need balance. My amazing family are mine. Our small little bubble is just beautiful 😍 🙏 so I am very much looking forward to spending time with horses & ponys as well as some very uncomfortable hospital appointments that I will share with you. Making a positive out of a negative ❤️ Sending love to you all and thank you for taking the time to read this ❤️🙏penny x
When you turn up and the ponies call to you ❤️❤️I just cant explain how that makes me feel! I haven’t seen them much at all over the two years on this cancer journey but I have gone to them mostly when its scan & review time. Today was short but sweet, both where so interested in saying hello and probably just want my carrots 🥕 😂 but for me it was a loving welcome 🤗 I am taking today as a win even if it was for a short time,it still was a success and beautiful moment 🥰 I am very hopeful that I will get the opportunity to spend more time with them in September. Everything is about finding a balance and excepting that you have a new normal that changes constantly when you live with cancer. It doesn’t mean that the past is lost, you don’t lose love! Make it as special and loving as possible. You only live once ❤️ Thank you vicky X
We had a brilliant start today . I always tell myself and children that its very important to go back to the beginning and start again if you need to. For some reason people can think of it as a bad thing? Myself and 🔔 call it our Reset 😊
Today we had our Reset at Woodland View Alpacas what a wonderful time we had! It was a very interactive experience, some of the time was kindly guided for us but we also had the opportunity to improvise and make it very therapeutic. working on change, trust, confidence, direction, and intention. Some of the points that are highlighted right now for us both in our lives.
We will definitely be going back and would recommend this to all our local friends & family.
There is even a wonderful café and play Park that is absolutely amazing!
I cant wait for step 2! ❤️
So its now been just over 2 years fighting my way through life with living with cancer. I had taken a year out to work on my more creative side and find a way to live with this disease. Its time to come back to my happy place, yes I still have cancer and its growing again but thats just part of my life and I am blessed to be alive! I am very much looking forward to seeing where this next step brings me as well as YOU! I hope to bring some HOPE,PEACE and some LOVE into your life . Hello again and thank you for your support ❤️🙏penny x
Now its time to rest and make a new two year plan. I am sure I will be sharing it with you all very soon. If you haven’t tried it before, write a two year dream plan down. Its amazing and magical how it can work . ❤️
Making memories. Finding the right path. Building confidence.showing love without judgement. Receiving love without expectations. Finding peace. Breathing. Walking. Living in the moment ❤️🐎 🔔
Today I went to school with Clarence. What a brilliant session. Doing ground work with Clarence as he is a testing teenager has been wonderful but also having a few hours to reflect afterwards I could see how I was walking, feeling, communicating. They are all signs of my own struggles I need to overcome. Its been a hell of a few weeks for all different reasons and its definitely done some damage and showing in just the simplest thing as walking with my pony. Did I have the right intention in my mind, did I stand up straight, was I looking forward, did I walk slow or fast, did I feel confident or scared, most important was there a change from the beginning of the session to the end. YES! Is doing a wonderful job with Clarence and also a wonderful job with me . Thank you 😊 I am gaining new tools to work with Clarence everyday. Its been wonderful today to have someone to push me out of my Comfort zone and help me realise its ok, I have this 🙌 ⭐️❤️🐎 Destiny Equine
Christmas is early! Thank you to a very special man ❤️thats Yugens biggest sponsor! A pioneering equine therapy service, which uses horses to improve the emotional wellbeing of people affected by cancer, is now available in Herne Bay, Kent.
The Yugen Equine Therapy centre, started by Josephine Penny after her physical and mental health improved following this ‘life-changing and amazing’ therapy, is part of the country-wide Macmillan Spirit and Soul Equine Therapy Service.
Started three years ago in Derby as a pilot project, it recently launched in other areas including Kent, and is thought to be the first of its kind in the country. Participants in the programme take part in structured therapeutic activities with the horses, and spend time learning horsemanship skills and doing reflection exercises over the course of four sessions.
Josephine said: “I’ve suffered from undiagnosed tumour disease since I was a baby and endured much pain and anguish over the years with various illnesses and surgeries. But working with horses gave me more confidence and lessened my anxiety about the tumours and an aneurism. The way I manage this disease has changed and mentally I’m more able to keep on top of things and live in the moment.”
After being diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in January 2021, she did the training in Derby – she said: “The training was extremely rewarding as I learnt how to tailor the equine assisted therapy to support people living with cancer, which helped me cope with my upcoming treatment. My sleep improved and I felt more able to manage the worry and fear around my diagnosis. Now I get to share this amazing therapy with others facing a similar experience.”

Two very happy lovely Humans & two very happy ponys today. We used May & Clarence . A mix of at liberty work, finding Pandora’s box, ground work, exercising Clarence on the hill, yoga with Clarence, at the end of the day we managed to fit in some meditation and then had a little bit of a singsong with Clarence in the field looking over to the sea and the fields ,it was beautiful. Life is a blessing. Thank you all Xx Were so excited to let our horses help people living with and beyond cancer.

The benefits, while interacting with horses, including lowered blood pressure and heart rate, increased levels of beta-endorphins (neurotransmitters that serve as pain suppressors), decreased stress levels, reduced feelings of anger, hostility, tension and anxiety, improved social functioning; and increased feelings of empowerment, trust, patience and self-efficacy . Why wouldn’t you want yourself or your family to spend time with our very much loved four-legged friends❤️🐴❤️
Guess when I answered the phone while using my heart math that clips on my ear to Monitor my heart rhythm….. The Influence of Heart Rhythm
Horses have an extremely strong heart rhythm or heart energy field. Equine assisted therapies have conducted studies, using HeartMath, showing horses assisting in healing humans. This occurs when a horse’s heart rhythm is strong enough to influence, like a magnet, the human’s heart rhythm, thus aid in regulating, calming, neurochemistry within the brain.
Developing a Willing Partnership
The level of emotional balance and congruency found within us is what creates the level of leadership horses need in order to cooperate in willing partnerships. Because horses are affected by our emotions and easily influenced, it is our responsibility to offer the same to those equines that are in need of healing – feeling calm, emotionally safe and secure. Energy at Work
The energy work at Tao of Horsemanship is about helping people and horses become balanced, aligned, congruent and at ease. This is the foundation to developing deep bonds, connection, clear communication and ultimate unity. HeartMath UK
