I love to bake! But I do it for fun and don’t want to sell what I bake.

So instead, in return for a small donation to the charity of my choice, you can get some cakes and I can keep doing what I love without having to eat everything I bake!

Happy birthday to our youngest niece! One today. Her cake is lemon with lemon butter icing and home made lemon curd in between the layers. The cupcakes are vegan - which taste a bit like a rusk!!

I haven’t posted in a while, so thought I would post up my latest cake, which is a trial run for my nieces first birthday cake in a few weeks. It is a lemon and blueberry cake with lemon butter icing.

I made the resolution this year to learn how to make fondant models for cakes. For my first attempt - I am pretty chuffed with the results. It was also my first time using a wrap around icing sheet for decoration, I just need to find a way to iron out the bubbles.

This one is not for sale, as it was a trail run cake. But thought I would show it off anyway.

All ready for our nephews birthday tomorrow. He asked for a cake with no butter icing. So I made a chocolate fudge sponge and decorated it with dark and white chocolate ganache.

Not a for donation one but I thought I would post it up as I am pretty proud of it.

It is my sister in laws birthday and she gave me the challenge of making a cheesecake. I was a bit nervous as I have only made a couple of cheesecakes before. But as it is her 40TH I couldn’t just do a cheesecake. So I made a white chocolate cheesecake. Then to go on top….

White chocolates filled with chocolate salted caramel baileys ganache. Macarons filled with the same ganache of the chocolates and then candy melt love heart shells filled with left over cheese cake filling. The gold white chocolates are some Cadbury’s jingle bells covered in edible glitter 😃

Baking in trays is so easy and brilliant for easily transporting food around. These brownies, cheese scones and Victoria sponge tray bake are all off to my Nan’s tomorrow - which is a 4 hour drive.

This cake is not being sold but I thought I would share it. I’ve been wanting to experiment with making my own colours of butter icing. So I made this autumn themed cake. The inside is simple flavour wise: Victoria sponge and raspberry jam. Really happy with how it turned out. 🤩

Not a Halloween cake this weekend. My amazing dad has finally decided to retire!! So to celebrate I made this 4 layered coffee cake.

For decoration I also made maple syrup and pecan shortbread and white chocolates filled with dark chocolate ganache.

This will be the last Halloween cake I am making for this month, so I decided to have a break from the traditional Halloween colours and go bright pink.

This is a lemon sponge with lemon butter icing and raspberry jam in-between the layers. Lemon icing on the outside and plenty of Halloween sprinkles. I have left over vanilla candy melt treats as well, which I will include.

This is a small 6” cake, but with 3 tiers inside, there’s still a good chunk of cake to be eaten. There is just this one cake available for collection. Please get in touch if you want it. A rainy Saturday afternoon in October was only going to end this way. With a new spooky bake! I really wanted to try out the cobweb effect, and who doesn’t love a bit of neon?! This cake is chocolate sponge, chocolate butter icing with marshmallow cobwebs, white chocolate butter icing on top for decoration.

Feeling very proud of this birthday cake for an awesome nephew. Underneath is chocolate cake and butter icing and then wrapped around with vanilla icing. This was a real chance to test out my decorating skills.

I needed to test out how to make a fault line cake today and I realised I’ve never learnt how to make a red velvet cake. So this was my attempt! A marvel inspired red velvet cake with vanilla butter icing on the outside.

I wanted to try out creating a rainbow striped cake with my new neon food colourings. Super proud of how it turned out. The flavour is chocolate sponge and mint icing.

A special request for a friends 40TH birthday party celebration. The theme was ‘A funeral for her youth’.

The cake and butter icing is biscoff flavoured. The final layer of butter icing is chocolate. The top is biscoff macarons and then dark chocolate skulls. The cake pops contain left over biscoff cake and butter spread.

I got the dreaded ping so currently keeping myself busy with baking.

These dinosaur cookies are a confetti vanilla cookie base and a fondant topping decorated with gold leaf.

An early start to a Saturday only means one thing. Baking time! Today I trialled a new recipe for Bakewell Cupcakes. The sponge has a hint of almond. The buttercream is almond and raspberry swirl. Topped with a splodge of raspberry jam and a bit of Bakewell tart. So who wants these as a lovely Saturday treat? 🤤

Today was the first time I tried working with geometric heart moulds and gold leaf. Inside is a cake pop mixture of chocolate sponge and biscoff butter icing.

The cupcakes are chocolate sponge and biscoff butter icing.

These cupcakes are already spoken for and were a lot of fun to make.

Chocolate cupcakes with a caramel core and chocolate butter icing on top. Finished with caramel drizzle and a cube of chocolate caramel.

Vanilla cupcakes with vanilla icing and fresh strawberries on top.

These are already spoken for but they looked too tasty not to share 😁 I really enjoyed testing out my new piping nozzles for the decoration on these.
