So proud to have been given the opportunity to work on such a small part of this film. I made a few of the costumes, very last minute, but I enjoyed every minute of it and can’t wait to fully see the outcome when the film is released.

Posted • Last week Iris were busy on set working on a new short film!
Directed by John Sheedy who won the Iris Prize in 2022 for his film Tarneit, this film is made through the £30,000 prize supported by the Michael Bishop Foundation and is our 14th winners production.
It has been lovely to have the Australians over filming in Wales and we are so excited to see the finished film, titled Never Never Never.

I have been luckily chosen to represent and on a visit to Alabama, with the amazing
Part of the trip is to connect with universities, companies and colleges to create a relationship between Alabaman and Welsh creative industries.
The best part of the trip will be seeing the stained glass depicting a black Christ, recognized throughout the world as one of the Civil Rights Movement’s most iconic pieces of art and stands at the front of the rebuilt 16th Street Baptist Church. The window was created by John Petts an artist known for their engravings and stained glass.
On the morning of 15 September 1963, just after Sunday school, four young girls were killed by a bombing orchestrated by Ku Klux Klan members. Nearly two dozen others were injured.
The outrage following the murder of children at the church was not confined to the U.S. News of this act of terror spread globally.
John who worked at Carmarthen school of art, organised the raising of funds from Welsh communities to replaced the window. The design is to support the black community in a time of brutal racial and civil unrest. The right hand pushing away hatred and injustice, the left offering forgiveness. An overarching rainbow, representing diversity. Petts accompanied the image with the words “You do it to me”, based on a verse from Mathew 25:40 that spelt out the Christian message of brotherly love: “Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.”

The first design from the Adaala Collection is ready to pre-order on our website in the bio section.

Adaala Collection symbolises the justice that is much needed around the world at the moment, especially in our Sudan. It is an artistic collaboration between the Creative Director who is from a Sudanese origin and the Welsh designer of the brand LLen who crafted the jacket. The pieces are made with reclaimed organic materials from Sudan and Wales, like Damouriya and Garmasis- some with a zero-waste concept. They symbolise unity and celebrates differences between cultures, which are need to attain world peace. It narrates a story of the beauty of Sudan as a country in Welsh surroundings.
