Million Dollar Gravy

Tomorrow we are crackling with our second Sunday roast service . Last week was a banger, thanks for all that turned up!

So whether you’re having a few bevs tonight and are in need of a cure upon surfacing, or you’re out for a nice sunny Sunday afternoon stroll(ignore the forecast, it’s always wrong, there’s no storm, no rain)- then pop by anytime from 12-6:30 and we’ve got you covered.

And we are back, and ready for Easter weekend no less!

We’re heading down the road to the beautiful Pontyclun, where we’ll be teaming up with to provide street-food style roast dinners, from lunchtime into early evening every Sunday.

Dont you worry, all the regular extra trimmings will still be available, it’ll just be a more casual affair! Look out for our menu and serving times in the coming days.

For our Cardiff lot, Pontyclun is just a 12 minute train from Cardiff central, with less than 5 minutes walk from the train station. No bookings required so just rock on up!

Right then you lot. For those of you who haven’t seen our popup yet, here’s a few little snippets.

With tomorrow being the day of the roast, we’re knocking out mini(not so mini) roasts from 12 ‘til 6. Choose from Brisket, Duck or Chicken served up with roasties, braised red cabbage, sweet potato purée, tenderstem and gravy. Add on some tempura pigs in blankets and/or cauli cheese bites, whatever ya like.

Too hanging for the healthy(ish) stuff after watching Wales smash home? No dramas, pull yourself out of bed and guzzle down some loaded roasties with blow-torched rarebit slathered with gravy.

For the veggies/vegans, we’ll be adding to the menu next week with our vegan roast option, apologies for the delay ✌️

We’ll be taking a break for a little bit as and bring a child into the world(swipe to see the low key galactic conqueror of the universe they’re growing).

Our roasts will be delivered in the morning pre-cooked! We are hot on the quality of our roasts, hence why we opted to leave the final touches to you, so you can enjoy it while still crispy and steamin!

All you need to do is chuck it in the oven following the instructions that come via email. All of it with minimal pan use other than to heat up some Million Dollar Gravy!

Our Mother's Day package is still available for this Sunday in Cardiff!

This package will be delivered ready-to-heat (for that straight out the oven feel) on Sunday morning with the following:

1 Starter, 1 Main, 1 Side, and 1 dessert along with a bunch of flowers, a personalised card, boozy truffles and a glass of prosecco! All for £35, with the option of extra sets of 1 starter 1 main, 1 side and 1 dessert available for an added £20.

We wanted to make a special post here at MDG, dedicated to some of the female influences behind this team. As we've mentioned before, our mum's will forever be the number one culinary experts! The ladies pictured above come as close seconds 😁 Breaking through norms and playing an incredibly important part in the future of hospitality.

Pictured 1st is Nadia Santini. First female to win a Michelin star, her restaurant has held 3 since 1996!

2nd is Clare Smyth who's restaurant was recently awarded 3 Michelin stars, making her the first female to achieve this in the British Isles!

3rd is Angela Hartnett, Gordon's Ramsay's right-hand for many years, her restaurant Murano, is the proud winner of 1 Michelin star and 4 AA Rosettes!

4th is Monica Galetti, presenter of MasterChef UK, she was the first female to hold the position of Senior Sous Chef at the prestigious Le Gavroche!

We will also be making some structural changes! In the future MDG will likely make less deliveries at larger volume. Beginning with once month (and special occasions) as of course the pandemic is slowly easing and the MDG Team have a purple panther they must tend to! 🌮

Planning for a busy Sunday!

We're excited to say that we are officially taking orders! Here's our new and improved menu!

From now, until Friday the 29th at 5 PM. We will be taking orders through our email [email protected]. Please include the following information in your email: Your order, phone number and full address 🤎

Keep in mind we do have a cap of 50 roasts in place, we will announce on our socials as soon as that cap is reached. We may also raise the cap depending on demand and availability!

We have received a huge amount of requests for a Vegan dessert alongside our Vegan Roasts. Of course we complied... We reached out to , a plant-based specialist with years of experience with vegan foods to design something with us in mind. We're super excited with this partnership! The time to announce the full launch has come and we're excited to show off what we've been working on not-so behind the scenes 😁

We thought of how to make this as fair as possible, and give everyone we can, as much time to order as possible.

We will begin taking orders tomorrow Wednesday 27th, mid-day. With a post with the new and improved full menu, pricing and delivery time. We will stop taking orders Friday the 29th at 5 pm. We will also be capped at 50 roasts. If you order after our cap limit, we will confirm your email and keep your order saved. If there is enough demand we may raise our cap accordingly and you will keep your place in line for that week.
