We had a fantastic time taking part in the Cardiff Half Marathon this morning, our members were supported by Run 4 Wales and were part of the project.

Many of our members hadn't run a long distance before nevemind a half-marathon - we are looking forward to our youth forum getting involved in more mass participation events.

We also fundraised for a good cause and Shoruk Nekeb and Hamdi Almisawi led on fundraising efforts for the victims of the 🇲🇦 and 🇱🇾 disaster.

We had a wicked time celebrating the The Great Get Together at Grange Pavilion yesterday and the contribution of the Windrush Generation following 75 years since the Empire Windrush arrived in the U.K.

Steve Khaireh hooked up the tunes and food with Floyd Haughton at YaardiffYum coming through with his delicious Caribbean food 🥘

Jukebox Collective smashed it with their performances from their academy who lit up the bowls green lawn with their dance moves 👏🏾

Our Youth Forum were invited to Number 10 Downing Street 📍 for the Big Lunch hosted by the Prime Minister Rishi Sunak 🤝🏾

We joined a 100 guests from National Boys & Girls Clubs and Points of Light Awards winners 🌟

Thanks to our youth engagement with Youth Cymru at the Grange Pavilion 🎉

We also met Dr. Jill Biden, the First Lady of the United States of America 🇺🇸

This year, the Grange Pavilion Youth Forum CIC iftars are kindly supported by Cardiff City FC Community Foundation, Health Education and Improvement Wales - HEIW and the Grange Pavilion 🚀

Every Friday evening from 6pm, young people will have the opportunity to participate in a workshop and discussions raising awareness about pressing issues before indulging in a delicious Iftar together at the Grange Pavilion 🤩

The workshops will be centred around mental health and well-being, raising aspirations, opportunities in the NHS and routes into entrepreneurship 🌟

Our Youth Forum members had a blast last night 💥 organising their very own at Grange Pavilion inspired by Jo Cox Foundation and bringing together 70+ young people to enjoy fun & games and great food & munchies ❤️ 🌟

We started the evening supporting our friends at Cardiff City FC Foundation delivering their weekly Cardiff City FC Premier League Kicks in Grange Gardens ⚽️

Following the session all participants received snacks & refreshments 🍭 🧃🍫

Indoors in our dedicated youth space, the Green Room - we transformed that into our Fun, Food & Positive Vibes Room as part of our 🌟

FIFA 23 was projected on to the wall via the Ps5 & proved to be very popular with the boys 🎮 ⚽️

Other games that proved really popular in our Positive Vibes Space were a combination of:

Celebrating the rich history, culture and contributions of the Somaliland community here in Wales brought to you by young people from the Somaliland Diaspora.
