A quick glimpse at the paintings I have submitted to Open Call

Good luck to everyone this is a very exciting opportunity with one of my favourite galleries, it would be so exciting to be chosen to exhibit with

Surf from the Atlantic Rollers 60cm x 60cm hand stretched and primed deep canvas framed in a white floater. Another of my paintings submitted to for their Open Call.

Inspired by visits to the north coast of Cornwall my favourite beach there is Porthmeor the north west facing golden sands in St Ives. I love this painting which uses a limited palette and brings to life the feeling of wind and winter swell in the Celtic sea and rolling waves breaking on this beautiful beach

I’ve submitted some paintings to the Open Call.
This is Porthmeor Beach at Low Tide oil on canvas 51cm x 51cm.
I spent some time sitting on the beach watching the tide go out sketching the patterns left in the sand and enjoying the wonderful surf. It is a favourite beach in a wonderful place near the far west of Cornwall where the history of artists and fishermen living side by side reflects my childhood memories when the harbour was still full of fishing boats and my father took me to the church to see the work of the St Ives Art Society. It has been wonderful to revisit this favourite place and to have the opportunity to send my artworks to this amazing Art Gallery I visit most times I travel down to St Ives from Kent where I now live
I shall be posting more of my paintings I have submitted and look forward to seeing the exhibition. 🤞

Our car is packed, tomorrow we deliver to the Pavilion ready for setting up on Friday. When my stand is ready we shall go off for lunch and will be back ready for ourfurst visitors at 6pm
If you can’t come Friday , the fair is open all day Saturday and Sunday

I have just delivered these three paintings to in for the Art Auction 2-10 March
Our amazing Art Auction returns for 2024. The auction will take place online and in the gallery and we hope will help us raise vital funds to secure the future of the arts centre. The auction is only possible because incredible and generous artists donate their artwork for us to auction. We hope not only do we raise these important funds but also introduce you to new artists and artworks that you continue you to follow and support once the auction is over.
I do hope you will support this charity if you are able

My paintings are in Bluewater at Under the Rainbow exhibition find us next door to Zara near John Lewis
There are 80 artists and lots of wonderful work - great for Christmas presents

I shall be exhibiting alongside sone of Kent’s best artists, at Aylesford Priory this weekend. The North Barn is right next to the cafe and car park. Do come over in this lovely weather and see us all
