Little repair Job on a flat roof.

With the downpour two weeks ago, one of our clients has had a huge leak coming from their roof valley, which in turned soaked their granddaughters ceiling and left it inadequate and unsafe. The old valley was removed and replaced with an alley valley, wet ceiling was removed, insulation removed and as the wallpaper was stuck on the ceiling and 1 third down the wall this also need removing, all cracks skrimmed, reboarded and ready for skimming.

One of our clients wanted their roof renewed.
Old tiles & baton off, new breathable membrane installed, rebattoned with treated batons, new valleys, new red smooth 49s installed with a dry ridge, new lead and parapets replastered. 😎👌🏻

With roofing completed and building control passing stage 2, we can now move onto flooring, insulating and plasterboarding.

Another little flat roof done, our current clients neighbours dormer roof was near the end of its life. The felt had a few bubbles in it, however, the wood was in good shape so we cut the bubbles out and torched it back, and gave it two layers of premium felt, 1 layer underlay, 1 layer charcoal mineral, all done with new drips and fresh lead to the side.

With both our client and clients neighbour agreeing to take the chimney down, I must say it makes a massive difference to the look of both dormers!!

New loft begins in East London!! Our delivery comes through PGR craned straight to the roof. PGR Builders & Timber Merchants. Difficult delivery, but the guys at PGR made it happen. We are now ready to build an exquisite dormer loft for our client.

Throwback to two weeks ago were the Exquisite team took on a little summer house challenge, the client had bought everything they required from decent reclaimed materials, from the structural wood to the windows and doors. The only things that was bought new was the electric cables. Never easy using reclaimed materials as nothing is ever the same sizes, but challenge accepted. If I do say so myself, I think its turned out pretty well 👌🏻

With the plumber attending another Exquisite job today, it meant another client will have there shower room in full working order this weekend. Thanks to Daniel Ablitt over at Ablitt plumbing who went out of his way today to help the Exquisite Loft team out in getting us all connected up.

The Exquisite team have been hard at it again today, with our slick bungalow getting some internal treatment with the insulation and plasterboard getting started. We will be facing problems after that, as it would seem multi finish prices are through the roof atm or very hard to get hold off 🙄.

With another week coming to a close, our double rear pitched dormers are moving along nicely, and are now fully built, roof and valleys have now been completed and we are in the process of doing our wi******er cuts. Once we get our delivery of anthracite fascia and soffit and ridge, we will be nearly over the line on the exterior.
The client decided not to go for the more obvious choice of a hip to gable in this case and went for the far more slicker pitched dormers, definitely a loss of space, but space was not the remit for this one. What it lacks in space is certainly made up for aesthetically.
