Danbury Market

Danbury Village Markets have been postponed over the summer holidays.
August and September markets have been cancelled for 2 months whilst we look into increasing visitors to the markets at Danbury Leisure Centre.

Danbury Markets have been running at the Leisure Centre for many years, as we have found that popularity falls during the summer holiday period Danbury Parish Council have decided to start up Markets again in October.

We look forward to seeing you at the centre soon.

Free entry, lots of food vendors or bring a picnic & set up to watch the entertainment!

Exhibiting on Saturday 3rd December at our Festive Market we are pleased to have with us Carol Chesher - Painter and Stained glass artist from Chelmsford, Essex.

"I’m inspired by the natural world with all its diversity and colour. Expressive brushstrokes and bold colours in watercolour, oil, and acrylic characterise my paintings, which can be found in local exhibitions, art trails and galleries. I’ve exhibited with the Society of Women Artists and also at the Mall Galleries in London, when I was shortlisted for the Artists and Illustrators Magazine Artist of the Year Competition.
I really love working with stained glass where I indulge my passion for colour. I use copper foil, leading, fusing and applique techniques in both realistic and abstract pieces, always striving to find new ways to bring these traditional skills into the modern home."

Hello, and welcome to Danbury Market!

Situated in the Danbury Leisure Centre on the first Saturday of every month; 9.30-12.30 - we have an array of local small businesses and makers on show, in our lovely village setting, and hosted by the Danbury Parish Council.

We also have free parking, teas and coffees to go or sit in at our function room, and every market is indoors and dog friendly! With beautiful fields surrounding for an after-market stroll and a childrens park, there’s something for everyone!
