30 years ago I planted Simon’s tree with my family and it’s important to be back. I will make this an annual pilgrimage, having left it alone for many many years whilst I’ve struggled and battled with grief. I’m in the best place I could possibly be emotionally having come through the other side. Loss now becomes pride, gratitude and hope for others. It’s incredible to see how large Simon’s tree is now and it’s no surprise that many families will also have the same special place to visit for all of time.

I packed my bags this morning to get up to the Childhood Wood in Sherwood Forest to see my brothers tree that I planted with many in the late 80’s as a sapling from the Great Oak (Robin Hood) . It was the first time I’ve had the ‘minerals’ to embrace my grief alone for my brother Simon, since mum passed. I’ve had a good evening catching up with my mum and dads best friends in life and parents who have also lost and have children suffering from the rarest of conditions. This was not an easy pilgrimage to my brother and the remainder of the weekend will be more of an insight. I am “Lucky Lavery” as I’m blessed by angels above and in life.

I lost a connection with former good friends recently due to cancel culture. I’m fine (but sad about it). Having opened up about it, it was just worth a chat - nobody was hurt in the process and it’s been clear that I did nothing wrong and others gainfully were promoted.

As aviators we don’t speculate on air crash investigation as pilots. We wait for the investigation panel to report the results.

It is highly likely that someone on board has turned off the engines and put the aircraft into an uncontrollable spin without ability to recover the attitude.

There is no indication from the video of a surface to air man pad or missile launch from ground or air.

Irrespective - Prigozhin is also poisonous, as is Putin and a pawn has been lost to bring Putin to his knees but it could be a blessing in the long run (especially for Africa).

It is what it is. It’s part of history and if you live by the sword, you are most likely to die by the sword.

What’s the most important thing I could ever say to you? It will be this for me ; “To have you K and you J communicating in any single way with me again after 4 years of silence - missing you every day and at night when I go to sleep knowing the most important people in my world are not with me - to have YOU BACK would be every XMAS, every birthday of EVERYONE son the whole wide world. I would never take your connection for granted. I would be gentle with your time and your emotions and for me, I would be complete. I do need you back. I have never been the real Andrew with you gone. The Lavery family legacy was firm and it has disintegrated into a very sad state. Let’s reignite the fire of our name and learn from the lessons of the past. I want to see you both be the best people you can be but most of all, for your future, I wish you love without question. I wish you peace.

I was given this thinly bound book at 18 years old as a ‘father to son gift’ as a private engagement gift and lesson from my father (Mr Robin Lavery OBE) when I was so caught up in romance and youth and troth to my childhood sweetheart from school. I do not know if my mother Christine was aware of this gift my father gave me until I opened it. It was dads advice on paper and I didn’t understand it at the time and I ignored it as a weird gift, being so young! Dad always fought his battles with the pen as a loyal, steadfast and thoughtful diplomat. I never married and at 44 years old, looking back on the words of the prose I can see why my dad shared it with me. My parents have been absent for days of hundreds and tokens like this bring self comfort, but also allows me to impart onto others respectful love on the appropriate levels. So, if you have a minute, please read this prose when you’re having a bad day and maybe it will give you a full ‘reset’. On the other hand, if you’re feeling good and if you’re in a good place, it will also remind you of why our existence is so precious. I wish you all well. 🙏🏼💕

A previous Army Sergeant Major once said to me when I was down - “Don’t worry lad, the cream always rises to the top”. I will fight for success on my own terms and I will raise others up with me on the way there. Neither will I be jealous when others are more successful but I will look to find what they are doing right and learn from it. Life is not a dress rehearsal for something greater.

I have one more single room to rent out at £130 per week (bills included) in Swindon in my house share. For information either message me or go to the App called Spare Room - Postcode SN252LW The rooms are newly renovated with new beds and mattresses and quality bedding, furnished with built in wardrobes and flat screen TVs with Amazon Fire and Alexa.

The front door is keyless and can be activated from a key card or mobile phone. Lockable bedroom doors and use of the main bathroom with bath and shower that is otherwise unused by live in landlord.

A large kitchen and sole use of a large American fridge freezer per tenant. The garden has sitting area and a whirlpool bath. There is plenty of parking and CCTV for security.

The kitchen has very clean and well serviced utilities including gas hob, oven, tall fridge freezer, microwave, waste disposal unit and dishwasher.

The bedrooms are not en-suite but full and sole use of the master bathroom adjacent to the spare rooms on offer has a bath and shower both with great temperature and high pressure.

The bedroom on offer has its own room thermostat to control the desired temperature which can be controlled from an iPhone at or away from the property.

The neighbours are nice and parcels can be taken in with safety when nobody is about.

The lounge and kitchen are shared but full use is included with individual kitchen storage space.

It has been a great experience plumbing in London for Pimlico but since my recent crash I am now bringing it back to Swindon to be able to better develop my business.
