Yesterday was our last assembly with the current year 2 at Cestria Primary, we thought about how they felt about moving on to year 3. We heard about how Jesus followers moved on when Jesus went to heaven and how they spread God's love around the world!
The children thought about what they might move onto as an adult . Some fantastic ideas! I'll miss popping in to see you but am looking forward to meeting the new year 2 in September!

Yesterday year 2 at Cestria thought about friendship. We heard the story of 4 friends taking their friend on a mat to meet Jesus to be healed. We made these mats to think about how we could be good friends. Thank you Jesus for being a best friend!

What a great assembly with year 2 at Cestria Primary yesterday! We found out about Pentecost and how God sends his Holy Spirit to help us. We used a hairdryer to show the power of what we aren't able to see and candles to show how God is one and three parts at the same time.
Thanks for the brilliant questions!

If the What3words location for the emergency meeting point in Riverside Park isn't the Christian message in a nutshell I don't know what is!
At our community service on Sunday we'll think how God's Kingdom is like a tree giving shade for birds. You'll be able to make these beautiful birds! I wonder what you would compare God's Kingdom to?
Thanks to our Thursday toddlers for making this beautiful tree of handprints ahead of our Community Service on Sunday. We'll be thinking about how we grow together and in God's love!
Yesterday year 2 at Cestria thought about forgiveness and how Peter was forgiven by Jesus. We watched vitamin C tablets dissolve, showing when someone does something unkind things can be a bit stormy but showing we are sorry and forgiveness calms the storm leaving something beautiful!
This Sunday (5th) at 10:30am is our community worship service. It's for all ages and we'll be thinking how we grow as a community and in God's love. We'll use the hands which many groups have made to make some trees of prayers and stories of growth.
Our new Connect group for playing active games and thinking about faith starts this Thursday, 4pm at the Parish Centre. Use the QR code to register your interest!
At Jigsaw we heard the Bible story of a father who loved his son very much and offered him forgiveness. We thought about how God loves and forgives us and how we can also turn around and be welcomed back. We also pondered on whether to eat dog food or say sorry! Fortunately the 'pig food' turned out to be chocolate in orange jelly ...
It's our Jigsaw Church for families on Sunday at 4pm. Join us to hear about a father who loved his son very much, to make a couple of awesome crafts, to think about whether or not to eat dog food and to know that Jesus always welcomes you back!
Our Thursday toddlers made this amazing tree ready for our community service! We also drew round hands and wrote prayers and how we have grown. What a joy! Thank you!

Our toddler groups will be filling these trees with hand prints ahead of our community service. Thanks so much to Kelsey and Sarah at Future Focus for helping with the painting!
It was wonderful to celebrate the baptisms of Evie and Isabella last weekend. It was wonderful to be joined by so many children and families! Thank you to all the children who made pop-up Jesuses and decorated flowers. Your working together made my heart sing!
We have a handful of packs left for children to make their own pop-up Jesus. Just ask at the office or message if you would like one.
A fantastic new after school group starts on Thursday 2nd May, 4-5pm at the Parish Centre. We'll play active games and think about what faith means to us. Message for more info!
