The Chalk Paint Studio

Are you interested in the archaeology of Chester? Would you like some hands-on archaeology experience but don’t have time to volunteer during the week? On Saturday 9th March 2019 the Grosvenor Museum archaeologists will be washing Roman pottery from excavations at the site of the old Cheshire Police Headquarters which took place before the current HQ building was constructed. Would you like to help? They will be running two sessions at their base in the Grosvenor Museum, Grosvenor Street, Chester, CH1 2DD. Morning 10am – 1pm then afternoon 1.30pm – 4.30pm. No experience necessary, there will be trained archaeologists to tell you what to do. Please bring an apron, or wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. You must be over 16 to take part. A touch of lavender to add a bit of colour to our dismal summer.

We painted this stag bookcase in Annie Sloan chalk paint old white.It has been waxed for protection.It's a nice slim piece of furniture and would fit in nicely in almost any room.Hope you like it.

It was nice to have our shutter up today and have a splash of colour outside our studio but unfortunately rain stopped play as the day progressed.There's a surprise!!

Hi,it's us again.Had a busy week designing and delivering flyers.Had some new customers today as a result of this.Fingers crossed for a few more.
