Therefore we write comprehensive training courses that will address a specific risk assessment for front line staff that require the skills to do their job
Helping keep Police Officers safe is dear to my heart so much so 10 years ago, myself and a few serving and retired officers got together and formed a charity group called the International Police Association – Defensive Tactics Group (IPA-DTG). Unlike most other charities for the police which are reactive, basically helping after the event, we are proactive. We provide realistic training and advice to prevent harm in the first place. To this end we run annual seminar at the International Police Conference Centre in Gimborn Germany known as Police Street Survival. We will be teaching a system of open-handed striking known as ESDS (Explosive Self Defence Systems) developed by a serving Swedish officer Slavo Gozdzik. We will also be teaching, knife defence, Stopping the critical bleed, Spree Killer Lockdowns, Baton, Ground Defence, and scenario training. This year we will be joined by Chiron International who will be providing us with their unique training armour known as X1 CQC Personal Protection System which we will be putting through its paces.
