ELITE Basketball will be delivering the next session for young hard working players this weekend. With a game realistic emphasis, all linked to the Basketball England player pathway, it will be another hard day in the Gloucester office.
It's early days in the programme but we're seeing the impact already in player decision making.

Fantastic 3x3 tournament this week in Cirencester. 17 young ladies competing for the title of Cotswold u18 Ladies 3x3 Champions. Great to see girls from Exeter Spartans Basketball Club, Gloucester Saxons Basketball Club, Roar Basketball and Wiltshire Demons joining our own Jets for the evening. Some great performances, terrific skills and all played with a great spirit.

Good turn out and great energy in the room at girls training last night. More of the same tonight for all player summer training 6.30 - 8.30. Some new faces at u14!

Congratulations to Molly James who has been selected for the next stage of England team training. Along with 18 other players in the U16 and U15 age groups, Molly will now go forward for consideration for the Great Britain team to play in the European Championships next summer.

U18 Women go to the top of the National League South West table with a 72-66 away win at Bristol Storm. Jets gradually built a lead, up by as many as 11 in the first half, but a strong 15-1 Storm run in the 3rd meant that they held a 56-50 lead with 7 minutes left in the game. The momentum swung again as Jets scored 16 points with only 2 free throws in reply from the home team. Despite late efforts from Storm, Jets closed out the game, led in scoring by Molly James (31), Rupli Moores-Mason (18) and Sophie Beard (16), and a strong defensive performance from Hazel Brown.

Don't forget that U14 boys will be training Thursdays 30 Nov and 7 Dec (as Deer Park is not available on 2nd & 9th.
All teams close down for holiday break after game on Sunday 17 December, until girls' practice restarts on Wednesday 3 January.

U18 Women, led by Molly James' 36 points completed a strong win over Team Birmingham Elite at Deer Park. Jets opened up a 11-2 lead in the first three minutes of the game and finished the 1st quarter at 30-10. The second half scoring was not quite as impressive, but a 80-46 victory means Jets now share the top spot in the South West Conference.
