Brooklands FC Veterans

After a couple of weekends or a bit of no football... We now have a league match against Stoke by Nayland at home. 2pm kick off.

Well, that's our Essex County Vets Cup run done... 0-14 to Witham Town Vets.

Next week, we'll be hosting Witham Town Veterans in 2nd round of Essex County Veterans Cup. UTB!

Sorry for lack of update!

This weekend we had no league game again, but the Vets has arranged an inter-squad match with the Sunday A team.

Match played on a Sat morning - we all played very nicely! 🤣

5-2 to the A team... Evans and Healey's son James scored for the Vets.

Brooklands FC Vets 0-12 Halstead Town FC Vets.

Next week, we don't have a game, so we'll be having a training session.

Next game is this Saturday... At home Vs Halstead FC Veterans. 2pm KO at Shrub End.

As expected as well played defensively for the entire match. We've held back defensively against Gas Rec as possible. So sadly it's 14-1 to them.

Own goal scored. MotM this week is Aldous.

We'll be playing against Gas Rec Vets. Got a bare squad... 11 players available for this weekend 🤦🏼‍♂️

We finally made our league debut in North Essex Veterans League... As expected we played to our best against Clacton FC Veterans.

Final score - 11-1 - Alex Thomas scored for us.

Next match will be against Gas Rec Veterans at home.

TOMORROW AFTERNOON IS THE DAY THAT FINALLY COMES FOR US VETERANS! 😂

We've had no friendly arranged this weekend. Most of us had a training session... It was a lot of fun!

Next weekend, we'll be starting our new season, travelling to Clacton, an opener against FC Clacton Vets.

Bad day at the office... Lost 7-1 to City Wanderers this afternoon... Although the consolidation, free kick scored was a worldie, not saying who!!!

That's another friendly wrapped up... Oh boy, it was an exciting game! Truly played like a Vets team and unfortunately the result ended as 6-4 loss against Ravens Vets.

Next up is 2nd time friendly against Raven FC Vets at John Payne School, Chelmsford.

Game against Bradfield Rovers Reserves has been cancelled. Due to be unable to raise a side / unavailable players this weekend!

Another great afternoon of football and a couple of new players made their full debut.

Played a lot of ball possession and the final score doesn't reflect that. Final score 8-2 to Ramsey & Mistley Vets Reserves.

It's Saturday tomorrow already, where has the week gone by??

We'll be travelling to Wix to face Ramsey & Mistley FC 's Reserves Veterans - newly formed team. Kick off at 1.30pm.

We have played our best football so far... The scoreline doesn't justify that. Two different halves in sweltering conditions. Sadly Ravens Vets took advantage of us in last 10 mins! Best team won.

Final score 9-2.

This Saturday, we'll be travelling to Chelmsford... Testing ourselves against Ravens FC Veterans. 2pm KO time! Buzzing.

Played against Ramsey & Mistley FC Vets' 1st team... They were immensely good and we gave it a good go as well never gave up. It's all about gaining experience as well game time as a team. Final score 17-0. Onward and upward to next week! Up Brooklands Vets!
