Well well well, August is shaping up to be an extremely busy time for me!

I am booked out with weddings, a holiday to Milan and a project I've been working on for a little while now, which should hopefully be ready in September.

I will be taking August off posting to enjoy my time off and focusing on bringing my project to life.

Nearly two months exactly since my big day so I thought I'd share some more details 🤗

1. Hotel - We stayed and I'm fairly certain they upgraded us. The room was beautiful, had the biggest bath in it which I'm sad I didn't have time to use. We also had our wedding breakfast there and the food and service was top notch.
2. Sunglasses - we didn't have a shred of sunlight the whole day so didn't actually get around to wearing them with my dress. This picture is just before I left for Bury St Edmunds, love the little loop for a charm so I put my engagement ring on it for lols. £3 from vinted.
3 & 4. Gifts from Glen - he gifted me with a lil smiley tattoo on my ring finger (first and only), so that even without my rings on I'd be happy. He also got me Renaissance and Cowboy Carter on CD. (if you follow my non bridal account .makeup you would have seen my quest to find all the Beyonce CDs secondhand).
5. Rings - my engagement ring is platinum and diamond and belonged to my wonderful late grandma. It was saved for me for over ten years to be my engagement ring, Glen had to ask my Grandpa for it 😭 I had a custom gold wedding band made by the same jewelers who made my engagement ring. Luckily I had quite a bit of scrap gold, and there was more than enough for my band and took some of the cost off the labour. I paid about £60 for it in the end.
6. Honeymoon - we went to Crete in Greece, and our resort was lovely. So nice to relax for a week, but I was not blown away by Crete. It was... A dump! Oh well you don't know until you go, and it's an excuse to go somewhere else.

Glass skin ✨

The secret to glowing glass skin is MOISTURISER. You can have the most expensive foundation in the world but it will still look rubbish if you haven't prepped your skin. And I'm talking to the oily skins too, I see you 👮‍♀️

Glowing skin IS moisturised skin.

Details of my wedding... 👰‍♀️

I'm going to do a part two of this as there was so much I wanted to share 🫣

1 - The dress! I found the dress on Etsy believe it or not! The seller was called and I cannot recommend them enough. 10/10 communication and it came made to measure in 4 weeks, all for £244.40.
2 - Shoes. I found these beaded Topshop Luxe heels in the charity shop for.... £5! And weirdly enough I had been looking at the exact same pair on vinted, must have accidentally manifested them 😌 perfect baby blue toes toes by
3 - More shoes. I ordered a pair of baby blue slip on checkerboard Vans, as I knew I couldn't manage walking around Bury St Edmunds in my heels. Blue was my accent colour throughout (something blue) and I've been wearing them since I was 13 so it had to be done. I picked them up brand new on eBay for £21.
4 - Flowers. The reason I got married at the end of April is because I knew that I wanted to have peonies for my bouquet. My good friend made me this beautiful bouquet of white peonies, and they were just perfect.
5 - Fragrance. I love woody smells and I haven't treated myself to a new perfume for years. I tend to just wear one until it finishes so it was fun to shop for a new one. I fell in love with Autumn Vibes, and then I layered Santal 33 over the top for a kick. I ended up paying £48 for the 2 (I have staff discount)
6 - Car. I had to have my lil sister take me in her Mazda, even if we did nearly die on the way - one of the wiper blades got stuck in the ribbon while we were going 70 🫣 we listened to Renaissance of course 💁🏻‍♀️

Oh yeah and I walked down the isle to Blue Monday 👰‍♀️

A great example of why a trial is so important. Rachel doesn't usually wear a lot of makeup, and wasn't sure what sort of look she wanted for her wedding day.

She loved her makeup at the trial, but after a few selfies, she decided that on the day she would like it a little bit more glam.

We added a few more individual lashes and went slightly more smokey on the eyes. I think she looks absolutely stunning
