Been a year or so since I last changed my strimmer head. Here’s what’s been collected, compacted and dried underneath it.
Nice little fencing job in Ipswich. A LOT of ivy on the old fence but it’s all gone now.
Built this beefy bed for a friend too!
Jetwashing decking and paving really does make a huge difference.
Little bit of paving and what a difference a jet wash makes.
Gone fully battery operated now with the addition of this little beastie. Pretty impressed with it actually. Did a large lawn on 1 and a bit batteries(whether they’d last was the big worry) and seemed to work as well as the petrol version.
Bit of experimenting with drive speed, eco mode and cut height but overall feeling pretty positive about the new purchase.
Did this one a few weeks back. Just managed to do the last few metres of compound(ran out due to a faulty tub before). Hell of a patio anyway.
Part of an old patio lifted and relaid due to sinking. Looks a hell of a lot better now.
Did some decorating.
Stripped, repaired, papered and painted. Hell of a job.
First proper brickwork completed since doing the basics course and a little bit of a paving extension with french drains. Not a bad little job.
14 hours. 14 hours of striping bloody wallpaper. Longest day of the last 10+ years, easily.
It’s been a fun week!
The end result!
Raised bed and a bin store with a little herb bed on top, all ready for planting in the spring.
You know, I’m pretty good at fitting kitchens and worktops. Shame my imposter syndrome leaves me with very little confidence. Better than being cocky and making mistakes I guess.
Another one finished! Bit of a ‘mare but pretty damn good finish, if I do say so myself.
Inch by inch.
Oh year, I almost forgot. Our man Richard has loads of fun on the new toy that a customer bought to try to get on top of the nettles in their woodland garden. I didn’t even get a look in. Haha
Well what a week. The weather has been crazy hot but we’ve survived. Had a big decorating job postponed at the last minute but that turned out to be a good thing, since I managed to completely clear my “in case of cancellations” list, which included finally finishing this little beauty(laid the outer slabs and put the base down a while ago but had some faulty pieces so couldn’t finish it) and even managed to lay slabs inside the original shape(customer changed their mind about planting in the ground). Can’t say as I’ve particularly enjoyed the weather or the greenhouse building but hey, sometimes you just gotta take the rough with the smooth.
Bricklaying for Landscapers course at Writtle today. Bit more basic than I’d hoped but got a couple of good pointers and it definitely made me feel more confident with my own abilities. Watch this space for future projects.
Fabulous fungi again this year.
I love it when a plan comes together!
Another project complete, bar a bit of soil and seed.
And the turf is down!
No before shot, as always, but did pretty damn well with this one today. Lifted the old turf, raked and levelled. 2 heavy trips in the van with the waste.
All in a day’s work!
Couple of patios over the last fortnight. One small, one not so much.
Really enjoying working with porcelain this year. Can be a pain to cut but lays well and it don’t half look good.
The only way to finish the day(when it’s this bloody hot).
One from recently.
