Customer got in touch with me regarding taking out a leaking bath and to fit a full length shower tray back in its place, but after meeting them they had decided to go the full hog and have the bathroom totally renovated. What a transformation it was and thoroughly enjoyed doing this one.

🔥 Before and after 🔥

As I haven’t posted In over a month and a half as really busy, I thought I would share with you an insight of what I’ve been doing the last couple of weeks on this heating system.

Customer got in touch with me regarding that they couldn’t get no pressure in the heating system, to then find out on arrival after trying to fill the heating it couldn’t be achieved as the heating pipework had blocked with magnetite meaning that the old worcester heatslave that was in place needed a replacement and multiple parts had worn aswell.

This system would then need all new primary pipework from boiler to all the radiators, the radiators was fed in 8mm microbore which I had upsized to 15mm for better flow.

All 7 radiators were replaced from the original stelrad to a more modern panel radiator ultra heat and a new towel rail in the bathroom

I fitted a Worcester system filter to try an minimise sludge and to keep maximum efficiency of the boiler

A new fire valve was needed outside along with a plume management kit to meet with manufacturers requirements

The system was added with x800 cleaner to break down any deposits within the system and flushed out and topped back up with x100 inhibitor to provide added protection within system.

Quooker 3 in 1 tap, insinkerator install

A customer had got in touch for me to see if it was possible to fit a quooker tap and insinkerator macerator unit underneath there sink in a double unit in there brand new kitchen

When I started this particular job I had to ensure I had my pipework as tight as possible to give the customer as much cupboard space as possible, so prep work was key throughout.

This quooker tap is a must have as it can give you 100 degrees boiling water within a few seconds, this tap can give sparkling and filtered water so no need for ice cubes 🧊 and best of all it doesn’t use a lot of energy , only 10 watts to power the boiling tank to have boiled water on demand ⚡️

Customer got in touch with me to see if they could get hot water in there new garden extension, as the main heat source was inside the house the only alternative was to have an under sink water heater fitted, I fitted a Hyco 15Litre heater to meet the requirements needed for hot water demand.

🔥out with the old and in with the new

Took this old gledhill vented copper cylinder out as customer had very little to no pressure within the hot and cold pipework , so a new 20mm water main was put in place of the old galvanised 15mm water main that was nearly blocked that had been in for many years.

The pipework to the cylinder needed to be increased to 22mm to meet the pressure requirements needed and to give optimum performance. Some prep work within the pipework and expansion vessel was then needed before the cylinder was fitted as the cupboard was quite small, then the cylinder could finally go in place.

Took the old avacado green bathroom out that had been in place for many, many years and replaced with a more fresher/modernised look that the customer can now enjoy. 🚿 💦

🔥 Bath being replaced with a slimline shower tray, with a concealed shower valve control, 6mm glass shower screen, a vanity unit wall hung basin, slimline toilet, a heated towel rail. 🔥

New toilet 🚽 and new electric shower 🚿

Took this toilet out that had been previously installed 35 years ago and fitted a more modernised toilet back in place, meaning the old overflow was taken out as it wasn’t no longer needed and cold feed was hidden so it looked more neater.

Also while I was on the same job the customer had asked for a new electric shower to be fitted that had also been in many years and had given up; this Mira sport dual electric shower meant the customer could choose whether to have the rain head on while showering or just the normal handset right at there fingertips

🔥 new oil boiler install 🔥

Took the old firebird regular boiler out as was leaking from the conventional flue system that had been fitted around 20+ years ago and fitted a more eco friendly condensing navien boiler back in its place to bring energy bills down for the customer.

The original pipework needed altering to meet manufacturers regulations, meaning that this was no straight forward swap, but after a few days the new boiler was all up and running.

Took the bath out as customer had difficulty using the bath, and fitted a 1800mm x 700mm slim profile shower tray back in place. A 1200mm shower screen with pivoting door was also fitted and now this bathroom has a more modernised look and most importantly it being safe for the customer. 🚿🚿

🚨 Oil boiler breakdown 🚨

This oil pump had seized through debris entering the oil line meaning the customer had no hot water or heating. I cleaned the oil line the best I could then fitted a brand new oil pump making sure it was set to the right oil pressure.

This old Worcester boiler that was taken out had been going for over 20 years but it was time to have a much more efficient up to date Worcester put back in its place with a flue adaption to meet current manufacturers regs.

The domestic cold water supply had been suffering badly from limescale so a combimate was fitted on the incoming mains to help remedy the whole house and new boiler

🔥🚨 kitchen waste before and after 🚨🔥

This waste pipework needed some TLC, I took out the old bodged up kitchen sink waste and wastes for the dishwasher/washer machine which was all backfilling and replaced with a new mcalpine waste kit for the double bowl sink, and fitted a mcalpine upstand for the washer machine, making sure the hoses were tidy and the right sized pipework was installed. 🙌🏻🔥
