Pedicures have been around a crazy amount of time, but in the last twenty years especially, caring for your feet is something that has risen massively in popularity yet still half of us don’t even know what a pedicure really is, or don’t bother getting them. And why should we, right? Who even see’s our feet apart from in the summer, where a slap of polish will sort them out? Wrong! There are so many benefits to a pedicure that people overlook, although they make our toes look great, there are huge health and skin benefits that run alongside too. But if you didn’t know that, we’re here to educate you in our salon FIVE STAR NAILS PAISLEY guide all about pedicures. 🌼WHAT IS A PEDICURE ? So, first things first, the facts. A pedicure is a beauty treatment of the feet and toenails. Although there are several types of pedicures that range in method, a regular or classic pedicure usually takes place in a nail salon over a spa. Being a customer, it’s a very luxurious treatment, once welcomed in, most of the time offered a drink, you’ll sit in a comfortable chair and likely receive the following: 1.A nice warm foot soak to soften and help relax the skin and toenails. 2.Trimming and filing of the toenails. (This is a careful procedure of course, trust your technician!) 3.A nail cuticle treatment (cuticles pushed back, and a nourishing cuticle oil is applied). 4.A foot scrub that will remove any flaky dry foot skin, and any calluses, hard skin under your food removed if in needed.This is usually done with a pumice stone/foot file or other tool. 5.Moisturiser applied and a short foot and lowe
