Not quite a cold and frosty morning but something to get you all in the festive mood nevertheless!
Such a treat to hear We are Every Child as part of Romsey Youth Choir's Christmas concert this year in Romsey Abbey. The choirs sounded terrific under the energetic and passionate direction of Marion Maxey and and it was a lovely surprise to see my cousin's daughter, Nyela, singing in the group. One of the children even came up to me afterwards and gave me a big hug! Hoping to see you all again next year at some point and wishing you a wonderful Christmas :)
A most enjoyable evening accompanying the lovely bunch of BA Drama students for their musical theatre showcase π
Very much looking forward to hearing my SSA arrangement of We are Every Child performed by Romsey Youth Choir this Friday!

Some lovely carolling with at the Holburne Museum this evening.
Getting close to the end of the first part of my MFA in Professional Media Composition so thought I'd share the end of a rescore of Ryan Turner's heart-warming rom-com drama set in the near future when humans have come to rely on VR a bit too much. Couldn't resist a bit of Hollywood schmaltz at the end!
Not long to go now!

It has been a real pleasure to write the first couple of pieces in this suite for solo clarinet for Emma Davies- Clarinettist/Teacher. She is such an expressive player and a wonderful person to boot. Looking forward to starting the next couple!
My new website is ready! Thanks to my ever-patient wife, Theresa, for helping with the design and generally being fantastic. Now I just need some clients so if anyone needs a composer to write some music for them, do get in touch!
Big thanks to Martin Tompkins Photography & Video for making me look presentable!

I know it looks a bit like Aquaman but this is actually Dylan, a sea-god from Welsh mythology. The reason I've posted it is that I've just finished writing a solo piece for Emma Davies- Clarinettist/Teacher called I, Dylan which tells the story of his birth and eventual demise at the hands of his uncle, Gofannon. Some other projects also in the pipeline so watch this space!
Bit of a milestone today. The technical side of my assignments has been pulling my grades down a little so I was proper chuffed to receive this. Have gone to this vibrant Thai restaurant in Sheung Wan to celebrate!
I do love a city at night. This takes some beating.
First week of examining finished! To relax, I decided to climb 470 steps in the sweltering heat and humidity to the 10,000 Buddhas Monastery in Sha Tin. These pictures don't really do it justice but it's an incredible place nestled in the mountains on the outskirts of the city and well worth the trekπ
