Wow…this will cause a big stir amongst the big clubs!!!! What will happen next..?

UEFA will conduct a new Champions League last-16 draw at 2pm after a mistake involving Atletico Madrid, Liverpool and Manchester United.

After Group B runners-up Atletico were drawn, their possible last-16 opponents - all group winners - were then put into a separate pot, but United were not included.

Teams who met in the group stages are supposed to be kept apart in the last-16 draw. United did not face Atletico in the groups, but Liverpool did, and Jurgen Klopp's side were mistakenly put into the pot to potentially face Atletico - who were then drawn against Bayern Munich.

Assistant Manager Tom Bates on this weekends last minute loss vs Stourport.

“Really frustrating yesterday getting ourselves in the position we did to then throw away the 3pts. We knew that Stourport wouldn’t give us anything and would work us for 90minutes and that’s exactly what they did, the lad hits a wonder goal for them and they grow in confidence from that.

We still had chances to see the game off but didn’t take our chances and it’s cost us. The run has been fantastic and the lads have been unreal, we dust ourselves off and prepare for the next one”

BATES STEPS UP

We are pleased to announce that Terry Anderson has appointed Tom Bates as his Assistant Manager.

Tom has stepped up from Head Coach and replaces the vacant position of assistant manager since the departure of long serving Luke Morton.

Tom said: “I am delighted to be named as assistant manger at such a football club which is full of potential.

Last year was my first season with the club, it was fantastic to work with Terry & Luke. The team spirit in this camp is not one I have experienced before and that is full credit to the lads.

I want to thank Luke for his help and the many chats we had on the touchline on match days! I really can’t wait to get going and help the Gaffer and the lads as much as possible”.

Manager Terry Anderson said: “I’m delighted that Tom has accepted to work alongside me. The focus remains the same and we are hopeful of continuing the form we showed last season and Tom’s vision is no different”.

We caught up with former assistant manage Luke Morton. “Couldn't think of anyone better than Tom to take over from me, passionate and very knowledgeable coach and a top guy. It's a perfect role for him and he is the perfect man for the job.

⚽️All sessions that we put on are fun based with the main focus being around technical progression. Coaches will have the freedom to plan their own sessions around our mainframe and develop players at their own speed

⚽️Coaches will have to be checked and qualified with a first aid award.

⚽️Coaches will also have the opportunity to grow there own One2One client base alongside small group sessions.
