Cullompton Cricket Club - Ladies team
Ladies Cricket at Cullompton Cricket Club
Our wonderful sponsor Liznojan is running a pay it forward scheme this year to help children in the community.
We now have a pay it forward button on the website and a pot in the bookshop. (Online is on our shop page)
We aim to get these to housing charities within the next week so please do pay it forward this Christmas if you can.
We'll also be collecting again for our local Big Issue trader. If you want to add anything to the box (we'll make it a bigger box this year) then please do. We suggest avoiding food please 🙏
It's seriously difficult times right now and I really hope each and every child will manage to get something for Christmas this year. Especially a book ❤️

Merry Christmas from the Cullompton Ladies Cricket team. We’ve had a wonderful season and would like to thank everyone for their support, especially our sponsor, the amazing Liznojan.
We hope everyone has a wonderful day, and here’s to the New Year!
Now that the season has finished it was lovely yesterday to meet up with a few of the ladies for a cuppa at Liznojan! Fingers crossed the ladies are going to be involved in an indoor tournament over the winter to keep the amazing momentum going that we gained over the summer!
A fantastic evening was had at the club on Friday night for the ladies. Not only was it presentation night but we had our final match of the season!
We had an amazing win, beating Budleigh by 18 runs!
Awards won by the ladies were:-
Best Batter: Jess Phillips
Best Bowler: Sophie Fardell-Rudd
Most Improved Player: Louise Cooke (graciously accepted by Adrian)
Captains Player: Claire Beech
Players Player: Sophie Fardell-Rudd
The ladies are still waiting to see whether they are through to the finals next weekend with another game to be played in their league.
It has been a wonderful first year in the official Devon Women’s Softball League for the ladies. With 2 wins and 2 losses, as well as gaining a wonderful sponsor in Liznojan Books and Coffee Shops in Tiverton.
It has been my honour to be your Captain for the last two years, and I can’t wait to watch and see how the team progresses in the future.
Thank you Ladies
Sophie.
It’s the last game of the season for the ladies tonight against Budleigh Salterton. Last time we lost by one run, such a close game.
So far we’ve one won and lost two, I think it’s time we make that even!
We’ll take some inspiration from watching England ladies win last night at Taunton!
THE LADIES WIN BY 2 RUNS!!!
A fantastic win for the ladies today against Ottery St Mary. Amazing performances by all of them.

Highest run scorer was Jess Phillips with 33 runs!
Big thanks to our coach/umpire Adrian and sponsor Liznojan

Well the ladies don’t have a match this weekend. So a couple of them have made the most of the time and have paid our lovely sponsor Liznojan a visit, for yummy coffee, fruit tea and pastries!
Fantastic effort by the ladies today! Such a close game against Budleigh. With our Captain taking 5 wickets! On to the next game and hopefully a win!
Our ladies had a great game today against Budleigh.
We scored 140 and Budleigh got 141, so we lost by just 1 run…….😭😭😭😭😭….however the ladies played really well, taking 10 wickets in total. 5 taken by captain Sophie Farrell-Rudd, 3 for Jess Phillips and 2 for Charlotte Coonick, 1 included an incredible catch by Tina Phillips. Top run scorer was Chloe Phillips.
The team is sponsored by Liznojan Book and Coffee Shop.
IT’S GAME DAY FOR THE LADIES!!
The ladies are off to play Budleigh Salterton this morning for their second league game of the season. Taking the positives from last weeks match into this one! We’ve got this ladies!
!!
I can honestly say I am so proud of these ladies. The improvement from all of them is immense, especially as this is the first competitive league match some of them have ever played, including one player who has only been to 2 training sessions with us.
We may have lost today’s match, but I am the happiest a Captain could be.
Thank you to our supports, our scorer and umpire for the day.
A huge shoutout to our wonderful sponsors Liznojan for our wonderful shirts! If anyone is ever in need of a coffee and a good book, they are the place to go.
Here is to our next match!
Sophie
The ladies are looking forward to their first and second home league games of the season tomorrow, playing Budleigh at 10:30 and Ottery St Mary at 13:30. Good luck ladies.
